Do you feel forced to go with the PS4 next gen?

Do you feel that the only console worth owning is the PS4? Are you dissapointed with that? It would have been nice to have 3 great consoles buck heads but MS and Nintengodno really dropped the ball. It's like they wanted their consoles to be crap. Are any sheep or lems dissapointed that they can't go with their company's console because it sucks?

Everyone should buy a Dreamcast for next gen, as Gameplay is what matters.

Not forced, I just know it'll be the better console imo. But the Wii-U and the X1 are great consoles aswell.

I'm just upset Microsoft cheated on me. The console itself is great... or could have been great... but now I hate everything about Microsoft, including their OS.

The only choice this gen for real gamers is PS4 or PC.

With XB1 you get inferior multiplats and TIMED exclusives... all for $500.

Wii-U is just... sad.

Sadly this will be the first generation where I will not be buying more than one console. PS4 wins in my book. And to think that until about 4 years ago, I was never particularly fond of Sony since the PSOne days. I used to be a bigger Xbox fanboy than RR360DD even.

Dreamcast is the only console I still have hooked up :p

The DC is the most overrated console of all time. Most of it's best exclusives were ported to the PS2/GC/Xbox and the controller sucked.

From a gaming perspective thus far the XBox One is perfect. PS3 had a really good 2013 so the PS4 is suffering because of that. Microsoft did nothing on the 360 for a couple of years and it shows with the XBox One as it has a great launch lineup.

PS2 was the hype machine with the most let downs of the generation.

Yes I feel as if the PS4 is my only option for a console and yes it disappoints me.

Now as far as feeling forced goes...no I do not feel forced. PC is my main system, so I can live without any console and be perfectly happy.

You know that is subjective opinion. Some people prefer the PS4 games. Anyway from what I've seen of the X1 games....they don't interest me enough to consider the purchase. And with the higher cost....MS has a harder road to travel than Sony.

Which means nothing, the PS2 has the largest catalogue, 50% of it is pure shit though, so who cares?

Bro gamers? The ps2's biggest strengths were JRPGs and platformers, not sports or shooting games. I do agree that the system itself was bad with graphics that were barely better than the DC, 2 controller ports, and DRE but the library has so many great games.

Not for graphics, resolution, fps, specs and all that crap that most gamers won't even care about anyways. I buy them for GAMES. As long as the game is interesting, fun and plays good, I'm happy.

Hardcore gamers seem to spend more time analyzing ever detail of a game and the hardware it runs on, that they spend less time actually playing the damn game. I'm not really disappointed in the systems. I'm more disappointed in some of the games then anything else. Still, we all know that it takes a good 1-2yrs for the cream of the crop to float to the top. So the games will get better over time.

No.. everyone should buy the original Gameboy or NES and see that graphics and 1080P doesn't really matter when it comes to games. I can still have tons of fun playing those old games.
