Really? While overall it is the best controller available, but that is only because of the 360s faulty Dpad. I've had problems with the DS controllers since the beginning. The analog sticks in particular. When is Sony going to update them? Seriously, the same sticks since, what, 1997? And I remember people, myself included, complaining about the looseness and overall lack of quality in them.

Some like the different positioned analog sticks of the 360 controller, I hear it's better for shooters, a genre I care not for.

I'm quite comfortable with the sixaxis. It's wireless, the ONLY feature I care about this gen, and light as a feather so in itself a joy to use for games.

No i hate it the triggers are simply, terrible. The 360s is much better IMO (excluding the D-Pad) I think the revised original xbox controller though is the best :)

Yeah, the Playstation controller design is my favorite controller. The only thing I would change is making the L2/R2 more like they were on the PS2 controller. They're kinda weird to me on the PS3 controller. I hope PS4 controller is similar. No need to change what ain't broken.

Its a gimped version of kinect. People will think that since kinect is more expensive and looked at as a high end sensor.

I agree about the awkwardness of the R2/L2 buttons.. and I will say that the analog sticks are placed too close together for my tastes. But none of the controllers this gen are perfect.

Close enough to perfect, R1 and L1 are the best bumper style buttons on any controller for me and i just love them for shooters, the triggers can get a little slippy (only time i've had an issue was playing grid for a couple of hours straight) but it's easily corrected with those 3 quid slip on triggers, never had any issues with the stick placement and it doesn't need batteries!

The dualshock is the best controller.. Dualshock 3 is great being all wireless and pretty much identical to DS2 however it would have been much better if it had 4 bumpers instead of 2 bumpers 2 triggers

I prefer the original PS1 controller (without analogs), then the DS2/3. I hate the analog placement, due to have slightly chubby hands. The 360 controller is far superior imho.

it would be if they would do something about the dead spot in the analog sticks.the only time you really noticeit is racing games. also....the trigger buttons feel cheap and weak.

Whats wrong with them? Honestly, at first I thought them not being concave would be a problem, but now i am totaly in love with the thing... And the 360 controller, well i realy don't like it as much. Its triggers and bumbers are too far apart so my fingers are sore after use. Also whats with the god damn bomb bay the 360 controller has for a battery pack?

I hate 360 controller so much that i would do THIS if i had it.

The reason is i play games on my PC and some games i play using my PS gamepad (via usb connector) BUT some of the good games only accept Xbox 360 gamepad (I Hate you MS) so then when i finish fiddling with game files and hacks to get my controller working, guess what happens... I have to use L2 and R2 for throttle and braking(game doesn't allow key mapping) and thats INSANE everybody knows X is the throttle and square is brake but noooo MS had to reinvent the wheel with those damn pedal things... And that is why i hate it.

They're flimsy and just don't work as well for shooters. R1/L1 work fine though. And uh, you know that the triggers and bumpers on the 360 controller are the exact same distance apart as the shoulder buttons on a dual shock right :|

The Dual Shock controllers are my favorite of all time, but none of them have been perfect. I think the DS3 would be close to perfect if they changed the L2/R2 buttons to actual triggers. The 360 controller is great too, except for that d-pad.

To be honest i do prefer the PS3 one more than any others, althought the dreamcast controller was good but i guess it's down to me being used to the PS3 one so it's probably just a habit to like it more.... Xbox controller is really good too though.

well I guess its going to be a winner within 2 months

Is that a reference to Kinect or is there really talk of them fixing that crummy d-pad?

EDIT: and yeah if the 360 gets a d-pad close to the PS3s in quality we do have a clear cut winner seeing how the 360 controller is perfect in nearly all other areas (imo at least).

Hell no. The D-pad and left joystick should switch places. Then it would be 1000x better. PS controller = really, really bad design.
