Isn't it ultimately the developers who decide, anyway? But I see what you mean--more sales would intrigue developers to want to create more games. Some just aren't interested, though.

It all depends, it has sold well but not as good as the competition. So why would a developer solely focus on it, when they could make more money elsewhere.

Games sales matter, games don't sell nearly as many copies on the PSP as on the DS, hence more developer support. The Xbox 360 gets a lot of developer support because Xbox 360 owners buy *tons* of game titles. So, yes, game sales matter, and what games consumers buy on a platform shapes the future games that will get developer for that platform.

Are you joking? PSP is subject to so much hacking and piracy it's as worse as the PS2 except Sony don't care about PS2 piracy anymore that conosle was a huge success before it even got worse. Software sales on PSP are declining because of it. How many PSP games do you see in the all format charts? Not a lot.

Just combine what I said earlier with what Riviera just said and you should have your answer.

PSP has sold around 20 million, yes. But then you look at its competition, it software sales, and it's high rate of piracy and the picture becomes clear as to why the DS gets the majority of the support.

Sure PSP has sold well compared to consoles but compared to the only other handheld the DS has sold twice as much.

For me it's the games that I want to play and the reliability and functionality of the system.

the PSP is broken trash that got pwned by the DS in every way imaginable. Despite their lower cumulative sales the 360 and PS3 are quality products and people buy games for them. In addition their cumulative marketshare (along with that of the PC)gives them a huge presence that as a whole trumps the Wii

DS and Wii are the cheap cheap platforms to throw shovelware at. So don't count on the shovelware.

Analogy doesn't work. The DS gets quality games and superior support. The PSP gets watered down ports and poor versions of multiplatform games. Also it is a joke failure of a handheld and the hardware is broken
