Did anyone pick up Blazblue Chrono Phantasma today?

@Desmonic: It's a great series! And Continuum Shift got a lot of coverage, I think the problem with this game was:

1. A really big delay between JP and EU/NA release (1 month for the others, but it took nearly half a year for this game).

2. Piss poor shipping schedules (about half of the people who use Gamestop and Best Buy said none of them got copies or will receive them for a while).

3. Bad localization handling (Related to 1, but also the fact about half of the characters have voice actor changes and there are still spelling mistakes and weird localization changes).

Overall, it's still a great game: great story, balanced and action packed gameplay, an amazing gallery mode, and a genuine and awesome new soundtrack and stages.

I was never all that into the first one, and I only really have one person who would also buy it that I could play the game with.

As far as fighting game fixes go I just either hop back on Street Fighter 4, or go get my ass kicked in Virtua Fighter 5. I might get the PC version, maybe. But I think I rather try to take the time to learn King of Fighters 13.

Pass. I got a taste of it with the one that was released on Vita. I'll stick to p4a.

I bought CP over PSN since it was a decent deal and got extra ten bucks recently but I can't download the game till April 1st, LAME! Anyways, CSE on Vita is my most played game ever so I can't wait to be playing this game. Oddly I rarely ever go online since connection was pretty bad over Vita but maybe thats just my internet connection. I don't have any friends that are good at this game so most of the time I just do Unlimited Mars but I'll try out online at some point. I main Noel and only Noel since the first game, so I'm mainly getting this game because they changed her look...

Its a fighting game so i dont see how playing it is any different from the second game that i played on the Vita.. i'll wait till its offered by PS+ tbh, i dont pay for fighting games.

story wise noone has an individual story mode with multiple endings. Now its just 3 different story arcs you play through. I kinda am dissapointed by this. In a gameplay sense they added something called overdrive mode which enhances each characters ablity.I havent used everyone but as far as Jin is concerned he feels different and they added some moves for him but got rid of some.

Because if you knew Blazblue, it's not like every other fighting game, as it has a new 40 hour story and 6 new characters (and Arcsys makes REALLY in-depth characters)

As i said i played the second game on Vita and it was probably the only fighting game that ever got me interested story wise but the gameplay like any other fighting game was repetitive as hell.. like i did with the Vita game will wait till its offered by PS+ and play it ( on Vita i hope ) later on.

I like both series though GG a little more. I also like the fact between series they didint become stingy with game content. Both games have big story modes and good amount of single player content.

Guilty Gear Xrd's fighting system looks KICK ASS.

But two bad things I'm worried about the game:

1. It made Guilty Gear 2 canon, and that game MADE.NO.SENSE.

I looked up the character specifics on GG2 and for the most part it seems thigns make as much sense as they could for that game. Though I didint know ky and dizzy married and had a kid. Also on the music front I like the trailer song though I dont know how the rest of the music sounds.

Has it been said if there will be any adding of characters for console release? Im disappointed at the lack of jam. In the previous games all I used was her ky and milla.

@finalfantasy94: They probably will add new characters, but what most people have seen is they added characters primarily from these groups

A. The Assassin's Guild

B. Primary characters from the past games that had a significant role in the story.

And a random character here and there like May and Axl.

I feel like story wise, Jam kind of had her fill as fighting wasn't really her life, while Axl still needs to go back in time and May needs to find out about her past (although, these probably changed considering the characters are six years older)

Yea thats true but still want her in. Shes a rare breed in teh game as in she doesint use a weapon. The only thing she uses thats magical is I beleive Ki and thats really it.In the end shes more hand to hand and I like that style. Also you can just make up a plot point for her. To be honest out of the two axl and may I find may the least interesting.
