Delays of 2015. Let's predict them

So with The Witcher 3 getting delayed for another 3 months, after a previous one, let's predict whcih games in 2015 will get delayed from their original dates.

Star Citizen: Squadron 42- Set to release the first missions in 2015. Delayed to 2016.

Bloodborne- Alpha delayed already once. Release date delayed already once. My bet? Another delay for another couple of months or maybe even pushed back to q3-q4

Star Wars Battlefront- Whie not unheard of, with BF Hardline releasing next years already (not DICE i know), and with gameplay probably only to be shown at E3, i can see a delay for q1-q2 2016

Just Cause 3- With Avalanche Studios working on both Mad Max and JC3 at the same time, and sicne they're not some large studio (as far as i know), i'm feeling it'll get pushed to 2016 instead

Zelda Wii U- Because you know it's happening.

Other potential candidates- Halo 5 and Uncharted 4. Not likely to happen, but with the MCC and TLOU R, some slow down might happen during development. Scalebound or Crackdown if release date were announced next years already after only CGI trailers.

Well, Avalanche has 2 studios now. They used to have one but now they have one working on JC3 for a long while and one working on Mad Max.

But besides that, I thought it was really weird that their game which was shown later, would release before the game they showed first... So it might get delayed yes.

Battlefield: Hardline. As soon as the lackluster previews of the beta poured in an immediate delay was sounded. I have not seen anything yet. To me it seem like a cool idea but more like a DLC expansion pack. It may be delayed again imo.

I have no problems with delays if that can prevent us from get unoptimized broken games

Me neither, I only found out recently because I was watching that gameinformer special, where they gave screenshots, information and interviews.

But I can't believe they'll release 2 games next year. And I can't believe Just Cause 3 (which was announced later than Mad Max) will release a year before Mad Max...

We'll see, but I really hope it does make it next year. Love Just Cause :D

Star Fox U - There's no way this is coming in 2015. We don't even have decent footage of this game yet.

Zelda U - 2016 spring for Bug smoothing and such. (and stretching out that catalog)

Xenoblade Chronicles X - Because Nintendo has one job and they fail at it. (localization)

Uncharted 4 - Greatness Waits

The Last Guardian - It was never slated for 2015, but it's nice to get the annual "It'll be ready when it's ready" address from Sony.

Final Fantasy XV - Please be Excited.

There's no way Zelda and FFXV are making it out on shelves next year.

FFXV no chance for next year. It will have to be current gen so yeah we might see it in 2 or 3 years.

Star Fox U can't see it happening next year they absolutely have to get it right having got literally everything else horribly wrong since day one of the Wii U.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Star Citizen will be delayed while continuing to bring in more cash and hype until Microsoft buys the IP and it becomes Xbox One exclusive.

Final Fantasy XV and Battlefront 3

I don't see why it wouldn't happen. I actually believe it will. Microsoft needs something that sony doesn't have in order to save the xbox brand, unless of course they do the other thing--which I also think may happen--releasing xbox branded graphics cards and move to a different arena.

I'm betting The Division gets pushed back.

The Microsoft blockbuster "Screamride" will be delayed until November...and zero shits will be given.

More like actual lawsuits. Shitload of people actually backed this by putting their money, thinking it would be on PC, using its capability.

No lawsuits. Read the funding quotas. Funding the game in no way guarantees a final product. It describes what one receives for X amount of dollars.

I can only hope Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, FFXV (no release date), Xenoblade, and Zelda get delayed because those will delay my purchasing of a PS4 and Wii U.

Zelda U -> 2016, but here is Majora's Mask remake for 3DS (2015). :P

I hate to say it maybe even Xenoblade Chronicles X (its like the game is just on a indefinite delay..first a 2014 release, now a 2015..probably end up a 2016 title) :P

Starfox -> 2016 haven't seen much of anything..- what? we (Nintendo) already release Splatoon, robot tower of defense, Mario Maker...& Yoshi yarn game..that's 4 games...already...that's enough for 2015. :P

@charizard1605: I'm just reserving my concerns. They may not be delayed but...

1. Zelda has a History of being Delayed.
2. Every instance of Xenoblade shown is of the JAPANESE version of the game. We have yet to find any form of Localization other than English Subtitles in Trailers.
3. Star Fox U hasn't even got a proper reveal yet.

Those 3 could easily be pushed back to 2016 at the very latest otherwise we might be getting some shoddy Nintendo games which according to their track record they are not known for.

Half-Life 3.

I'm hoping that Arkham Knight doesn't get delayed. At this point I feel like it already has two times minimum. Zelda U would also be disappointing, but I see that being more likely than AK. Depending on how it turns out it could be the reason to get a WiiU.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

I don't expect Uncharted 4 to launch next year. I doubt that Squadron 42 Chapter one will be pushed back to 2016. I think it'll release at the very end of 2015. Zelda may not come next year as well.

As long as it's not Ubisoft or Square Enix, I consider delays a bliss.

After the colossal fail of master chief collection i think it's safe to say they will delay it so they don't release another incomplete and bug ridden game.

There's no way that Battlefront 3 gets delayed because they want the release to coincide with the new Star Wars movie.

It's a bit of a shame since that is a series that really should be at least open to delay. There's a ton of moving parts and different opportunities for glitches in that kind of gameplay.

So there's little risk of it being delayed but a serious risk of it being buggy, or even worse, they scale the gameplay backwards

@Cloud_imperium: @Bigboi500: @LegatoSkyheart: I'm sure why UC4 would be delayed. All Uncharted games have released on November, and it'll be two and a half years since TLOU. Sure, they had to work on TLOU remastered, but that probably only took about 6 months worth of work.

A 2 year cycle for Uncharted seems right on spot.

Oh, and Star Fox is a good one. Nintendo says it's going to release before Zelda, yet there's nothing about the game?

Apart from obtaining money under false pretences is fraud and the start of the very first trailer is "I am a PC game". That aside, Star Citizen would never run on either of the consoles no matter how hard you prey to Sony for it to happen.

Only thing, I can think of, that could push SQ42 back would be if they want to implement to co-op gameplay for chapter 1 release and the net frame work has difficulty.

Though with the progress being made with connectivity in Arena Commander it's pretty unlikely, hopefully they'll start pushing up the player count over the next few months.

zero possibility of that happening.

MS is not going to spend upwards of a half a billion dollars for a game that has yet to prove itself. There isn't even announcement about about payment models. No one knows if this game will take off.

Star citizen company is not going to sell it. Roberts is not going to sell it.

Development is so deep into PC.

AMD and SC partner ship with their graphic cards, sales, advertisement, and mantle makes it even more unlikely. OR support is build with another partnership with facebook.

This is beyond the realm of possibilities.

Money talks. Microsoft bought Minecraft for how much? The people funding the game are receiving their goods. Nowhere does it state that a completed game is guaranteed to these people. Hypothetically speaking, you think an up and coming development studio would pass on 500 million?

The developers have stated numerous times that the game wouldn't be possible on consoles. They're big PC gamers too and want this to be a game that puts PC gaming back on the map. They've already raised a ridiculous amount of money, they're not going to sell out to Microsoft now and spend the rest of their development time downgrading the game so that it will be playable.

MS bought Minecraft because its one of the biggest gaming franchises out there. It appeals to all audiences and they will support it on all systems. heck even merchandising it is huge. Minecraft has already proven itself. SC has not.

MS buying starcitizen and making it an exclusive to the xboxone? Not going to happen.

Anything is possible. Of course it would boil down to popularity, but that game seems to be the only thing I hear about from the pc scene. And realistically, the game--IF it ever happens--is most likely AT LEAST two years out. Who is to say that this project doesn't garner enough hype to be recognized by more than just the pc scene? Perhaps MS buys it out and launches a new console with it in 4 years. Microsoft has the xbox brand which is seriously threatened right now. Once that is done, they're stance in the console market is done. The Xbox Live fees are done with all of the "almost" free money that goes along with that. It seems ridiculous to completely rule out a big company like Microsoft seeking out an up and coming developer to add to their lacking portfolio and attempt to save the xbox division.

Do you have any idea of how ENORMOUS of a downgrade it would take to get Star Citizen to run on the Xbone?

The amazing and immersive graphics is one of most appealing things about the game and you won't have that experience if it was on Xbone's ancient hardware.

If they wanted to put it on consoles, i'd much rather they wait until the next gen consoles come out.

Can see Quantum Break getting delayed because its Remedy. Hope not though

Star Fox and Zelda seem to be likely candidates. Zelda has a history of being delayed and this appears to be the biggest one yet. I think Star Fox is more likely to come in 2015. I think we will get some quality footage at E3 and it will be ready by either Christmas 2015 or spring 2016.
