Dark Souls 2 Hype Thread GS score 9.0 (56k warning)

Should be a neat AAA. Even more so if it's the same reviewer that reviewed that 1st Dark Souls.

As the nerd ass fan that I am lol....I'm astronomically Hyped for DkSII!.

Its going to be a legitimately bombastic ride.

• Getting standard edition on PS3 now; PC version later
• Playing as Dual Swordsman first (nobody playing the beta even brushed the surface of what he can do)
• Probably going to lose a lot of my life to this game

It will get a 9 guaranteed. Very disappointed that it doesn't come out on the 11th on pc but gotta have to deal with it and wait for the superior version.

I own PS3 and PC Dark Souls.

I've resigned myself to know already that I'll own both PS3 and PC Dark Souls II.

There is no "superior version" of this game. It's all about just playing and enjoying.

The first one was tear inducing for Charitard, so hopefully this one puts him into a deep depression.

Well after watching the preview and knowing that Kevin is reviewing it I'll say AAA. He seemed pretty up beat and enthused to just show people certain parts. Guy next to him chatting inanely was awfully annoying and unknowledgeable however.

I've only double dipped on a few games like Sleeping Dogs, Skyrim, Morrowind and now Dark Souls 2. Waiting for a higher resolution version and future moddable version isn't worth the month+ wait in my opinion.

After watching beta videos I didn't think very much about it.

I can't wait either.

I know. I just saw some footage on The Lobby. Kevin was glowing and he's a good player. There is the starting area shown, some minor story spoilers and 2 enemy types. Not huge spoilers imo. But then I knew...GOTY 2014.

Pc version releasing on April... God I cant wait anymore. Should I be concerned of framerate issues on the PS3? The blighttown parts in DS were a nightmare and I bought the game again on Pc and poof. The beta seemed to be fine...

Every day I wake up thinking one less day till DS2. I can't wait I'm super hyped for the game.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were a PS4 version in the works. You could wait for that instead.

Do you think the PC version will have a big community this time like the PS3 version? I really want to get this game on PC. I have the first one on PS3, but I want to utilize my new PC :P

this is exactly what i want to do and wonder the same thing about the community. Also heard there's tones of hackers on pc which completely kills pvp.

The problem on PC is that there are many hackers/trainer users, the official release of april is not confirmed yet by Bamco, fidelity of PC version is not yet proven. This time around, the community will be there for PC though.

I believe the game will get AAA.

Game is ugly, but I will get it at the end of the month. Titanfall and Infamous first. I like the look of the environments. I thought they sucked in the the first ds.

I would imagine that covenant wouldn't exist in the 2nd one anymore.

My favorite covenant in DS is Sunbros. I like to duel, but hard finding games as Darkmoon. As for Darkwraith I feel guilty invading people's world especially people who are weaker than me or aren't good at the game. I tend to just leave the game heh.

Lol every damn time when someone invaded my realm it was always at the same spot (under the bridge by the dragon), "Ilovepinkponies has invaded your realm" and I was like "nope you're not gonna take me alive toaster!!!" *jumps off bridge*

I'm gonna hype it AAAA, although that's probably unrealistic.

8 outta 10. Even though I have that feeling it'll score great, I think an 8 sounds realistic.

Worse multiplayer seen in anygame with the 2 other games, this game is so overrated but i think it score 7-8/10

This game looks better than I expected from that video. The frame rate looks fine and the animations look a bit more refined than DS1 (or maybe I'm imagining that). These two things make the games a lot more enjoyable.

Think I will jump on the PS3 version as well. My only hope is that they have not made the game too hard, there was a few frustrating points in DS1 where things would insta kill you, I'm not a big fan of that unless there is a way to reliably combat it and not play a percent chance game. I say if you can't beat an enemy twice in 5 attempts after learning their attack patterns with the gear you are supposed to have at that point it's probably too hard. Also some bosses pretty much forced you to wear heavy armour, would be nice to have more of a choice.

Thats what I'm doing. Maybe roll an explorer or swordsman on ps3, then roll a magic knight swordsman for ps4, sort of like my character from Demon Souls.

Masochists from all over the world can't wait to get their hands on DSII

Im afraid of that as well, hopefully they will use Valve's anti-cheat (VAC) this time since Games for Winblows is getting axed soon.

I saw a little bit livestream of the reveal demo area. It looks much worse now with a lot of lighting effects missing.I hope the pc version looks atleast as good as the reveal. Gameplay and level design looks really good though. I am getting the ps3 version 1st but I'll be missing dat 60fps :(
