Confused over the knitpicking on the power of the X1 and PS4

PS4 :

7GB GDDR5 RAM available for games.

Radeon HD7850+ GPU.

No CPU cores used for OS.(Secondary processor does all background tasks)

Capable of 1.82 TFLOPs

xbone:

5 gb DDR3 RAM available for games.

HD 7770 GPU.

2 CPU cores used for OS.

capable of 1.1 TFLOPs.

Forza 60fps.

Drive Club 30fps.

Ryse interesting.

Weaker GPU and inferior RAM with less available for games. They use the same CPU afaik. 360 at least had unified RAM and a better GPU virtually cancelling out the PS3 advantages. XB1 is just downright inferior (there's Teh Cell, I mean, Teh Cloud I guess) all for $100/80GBP more. A nice lesson in how to not design a console. You want a non fanboy explanation, try PGD.

Your opinion is fact now? And do you seriously consider Ryse as interesting? The gameplay looked sluggish and horrible (graphically impressive nontheless). My honest impression is that you'll get more fun out of playing Shadowfall than playing Ryse.

Guys, I'll admit I am pretty ignorant when it comes to computer technical lingo. But I am just curious how it is that the XBOX ONE has so much more power than the 360 or PS3 had and those consoles were able to run some very impressive looking games like Forza, Uncharted, Bioshock, BF3, Gears of War, Bulletstorm, Mass Effect and others but yet so many act like the XBOX ONE is barely a cut above the past generation. And, regarless of that, you and the other rabid moo-ers in here act as though the PS4 is light years more powerful than the XB1; when, in reality, the performace difference is minimal. You keep touting 1.1 vs 1.8, but that's only part of the story. It's like saying "my viper is faster than your corvette because I have 8 gears and you have 6!"
