2. BO ($650 mln)

BO is best-selling game ever in U.S. and UK, MW2 is second in both region. MW3 will take over BO.

I guess popularizing the modern day shooter and standardizing so much of what makes shooters today the way they are doesn't count? And I guess your opinion on the matter over that of the millions who bought it matters more?

Well, considering most of what it did was bad for the genre... yeah.

MW3 is doper than a jet+medx+psycho addict. It's like the sequel to COD4 that we never got. Nicely designed, content heavy, and way better balanced than MW2. It feels totally different than MW2. Once you play the MP, you notice why Robert Bowling always talked about going back to "gun on gun action". The only thing holding it back is the dated engine :lol:.

I've found that to be true as well. I visit my friends at their universities and its very common to see an Xbox 360 with every CoD since CoD4. Some have BC2 but "Hate it because it sucks"

Weird, because I've always liked both?

Anyway even if someone only enjoys cod how does that not make them a real gamer? They devote time to a game that in my eyes is a gamer. BF fans need to get off their high horse and realize that some enjoy COD.

Too lazy to link but gamespot did have it on their news with over $770 million in profits which due to over 11 or 12 million sales in only 1 week

The reason why it sells so well is because mothers buy it for whining little kids and don't even know what they're getting them.

Or someone picks up a controller for 5 minutes and calls themself a gamer.

COD is a huge taint on gaming.

I continue to enjoy Call of Duty games. The multiplayer is basically the same from game to game, but I think it's the campaigns that make the COD games special.

Highest haul in entertainment industry is depends on how you count. By the money made, of course, the games these days are freaking expensive, a movie ticket costs just about $10 or $15 for 3D, a video game costs $60 at launch! And by the way, inflation is not adjusted when counting as well
