These are arguably the biggest critical flops of the year.
But what is the most floppyest flop of the flops?

ZombiU.
why you so obsess with that game lol
haha
Yeah, it's pretty chill, man. Whacking zombies and shit. Very hardcore stuff. Nintendo style. Don't leave a fella hangin'.
haven't played any, but on these forums EASILY two souls. Game looked nice and cool when they showed it off and cows on here talked about, but next day after it came out. it was put asleep and never spoken again and sent down the slaughter belt

A game that get's discriminated on being a game more over than anything at all rather than the game itself = / = flop. Especially when it scored a 9.0 here. If you bring metacritic up the cows will bring The Last of Us. There's no way to win the argument here.
Rome 2 definitely, it was hyped to death by Hermits and the result was yet another gigantic flop (like Company of Heroes 2)
When it comes to exclusives the PC isn't all that great. Their top 3 exclusives are:
1) Out of the Park baseball 2007
2) Baldurs Gate II
3) Grim Fandango
Can't even beat PS3's top 3. And when you add to the fact that the PC platform is decades old, you will realize how sad it actually is.
If you're talking about games, it's still TLOU.
If it's systems, that would be the Wii U. Even though sales increased do to a Zelda bundle, it still has done miserably for most of this year. The PSVita would be the 2nd worse. The PS3, XBox 360 aren't even in the same category. Not sure why anyone would include the XB1 or PS4, as neither system has launched yet. When they do they will easily outsell what the Wii U has done this year.
@blackace: If you're looking at it purely by Gamespot score then maybe, Rome 2 is still pretty big. Rome 2 has been hyped AAA and by many AAAA for at least two years. Rome 2 flopped across the board. Reviews were way under what people expected and the game was an absolute mess at launch.
Gamespot gave TLoU an 8.0 but the rest of the industry loved the game and it has a really high Metacritic rating because of it.
I know this place is System Wars and thus logic is very shallow, but it's still really stupid to think that in 2013 Gamespot is the only source that matters. Especially considering how 90% of people here often dismiss Gamespot's opinion anyways.
Gamespot's redesign.
your face.
Website is much better, little less features ATM, but no stupid ass bonks every weekend

I didn't make the rules of SW. Yes Rome 2 flopped as well, but I think more people cared about TLOU on here then Rome 2. I'm not sure why Beyond: Two Souls is on the list, as it got a AAAE (9) on GS. I still passed on it, cause I don't think it's worth $60. I'll pick it up later for 1/2 the price.

I'm not ignoring the hype the PC gaming community gave Rome 2. When that flopped they didn't say a damn thing. Sony fanboys got all upset at TLoU's score while PC gamers didn't make a fuss. That's why you think more people cared about TLoU. Console fanboys in general are very vocal.

Exactly.
Hell, no one hyped it more than me. And I was the first to say how disspaointing the launch was. It's a decent game now, 5 patches later, but the first rome is still my favorite :(
Not only that but Beyond: Two blu-ray movies was not only hyped ot death by cows, but Sony gave it a marketing budget 100 times larger than Rome II had. AND the Metacritic score for Rome II is HIGHER than Beyond's.
So yeah, Beyond is definitley the bigger flop.

Not sure if trolling...
The PC is pretty much THE system to own right now if you can afford it and there isnt any signs of that changing any time soon.. the ps3 and xbox 360 library is actually quite pathetically bad bar a handful of exclusives.
Oh and I havent been following it too closely as the total war series has never really interested me that much, but it seems they are patching the hell out of that game weekly to bring it up to the standards its fanbase wanted...
I don't understand the TC's diatribe against CoH 2. Kevin only flopped it because he didn't know how to counter german half tracks. As a sequel its really very solid and fixes some issues the first game had. I've put more hours into CoH2 than any other game this year.
Rome 2 even after patches feels lacking for some reason, I just can't get into it bugs or no.
My vote goes to Beyond though, review scores regardless the game is a narrative mess. The second half of the game is packed with laughably bad dialogue and the ending makes Mass Effect 3's conclusion look like a profound piece of art. Meaningful choices are non existent and there is no sense of danger since you can't die. This is coming from someone who liked Heavy Rain.
