Are xbox 360 gamers trigger happy action junkies?

Of course the way I worded this I agree. Bear with me for a second alright I like 360 but the games that come out for 360 are straight shooters or action games. I don't have anything against these genres but I like variety and diversity. Of course...I would be a fool to make such a bold claim w/o providing evidence so here goes. This is Major Nelson's top 20 most played xbox live:

Some of the above like Fable 2, have sold 3.5+ milllion, far more than most of the games in your list, the fact that some games do not appear in your list, means nothing for the actual sales, or games sold on 360

Seems to me that 360 is more about RPG, adventures and other genres than shooter and action

At least there are more people to play with compared to PSN...

The casual 360 players are, and there's a lot of them. However there are plenty of hardcore gamers who like to game on the 360 and they most certainly are not... in most cases.

In Banjo Kazooie you can shoot eggs out of Kazooie's mouth.

In Forza you can shoot passed the guy in 2nd place, and win a race.

In Bayonetta she has guns attached to her boots.

Sure, they're not the only games. But violent games with guns and sports are the majority. They are the most popular (by far) and the better games on the system. So, if you're not into blasting aliens or terrorists or scoring touchdowns, there's really little reason to get a 360.
