@Sollet: I think the Japanese probably love baseball more than Americans. Konami's baseball franchise Pro Yakyu is huge in Japan.

But internationally, cricket is a lot bigger than baseball. Although cricket is mainly played in the Commonwealth (former British Empire), that has a much larger population than North America and Japan combined.
