Joking aside... In my opinion this isn't any kind of a win. I'd rather if I only owned non SONY consoles for these games to stay with the competitors. To each their own, and I know a lot of people loved the "remake" but it's about as FFVII as Devil May Cry.

I always thought that was kind of douchy of them to charge full price for a remake of only the first disc. It's not even like they had to hire writers to write the story, or concept artists to design new characters. All they needed was people to create and animate the assets and the coders to lay that on top of a pre-existing engine. Such a cash grab. $240 for a remake of a game when it's all released.

Dunno. It'll come to Xbox and PC eventually and I'm not sure Xbox is really the demographic for these games. I vaguely remember a statistic that Xbox don't buy nearly as much jrpg/jp games but I think it's dumber for publishers to leave it completely off Xbox.

It would seem you took not being able to purchase a PS5 personal. I managed to pre-order one and I didn't even want it, I gave it away to a family member.

Unfortunately for Xbox though once they own one of those studios they tend to do **** all with it. Yeah, you may get one Elder Scrolls out of them, but Rare was a massive powerhouse when Microsoft purchased them, and look at them now. Sea of Thieves and an okay Battletoads sequal that isn't even online playable. Yikes. If the only thing they managed to do with all of Rare's IPs in the last 20 years is ruin the Perfect Dark franchise, it could be the end for Elder Scrolls and/or Doom.

No you took the sales of PS consoles and took it as every single person who bought those consoles did so for the controller, and that they all love the controller.

Nah, he just never got over JRPGs. He still plays them no matter how childish and borderline hentai they have become and was too anti social to have a desire to play stuff online with other people so he never made the jump to Xbox. He still lives in a world of single player games whereas I love the social aspects of online gaming and jumped to Xbox as my main platform in the very early 2000s, 2 generations before Sony really had decent online.

Game would of sold more if: A) Game was not some shitty episodic crap, and B) Was a literal 1:1 remake.

If they did with it what Capcom did with the RE1 remake, I might buy it. That's how a faithful remake should be done. It still pisses me off that Capcom did with 2 and 3 what Square did with FFVII.

What did they do with 2 and 3? Sorry, have not completed one since Code Veronica on the DC, became shit from 4 onwards.

Turned them into another run of the mill third person shooter. Where the RE1 remake was still very true to the original. You even had an option to switch to using tank controls like the original as well if you didn't want to use more modernized analog movement.
