Finally, some one who didnt fall for the hype.
7/10
I don't understand the reasoning behind finding ONE person who agrees with your unpopular opinion then claiming it as fact.
"Oh look 99% of scientitst say climate change is real but I'm with the 1% that disagrees"
It's like jealous lems with UC4. Never played the game, but will watch a youtube video that agrees with them and repost it lol
Stop it man, its childish.
The caps emphasize threat with a smidgen of general danger.
But yea - Blizzard are greedy bastards, no secret. They have a rabid, easily exploitable fanbase and critical praise to get away with it.
Also he points out the sneeky attempt to charge for the Origin edition with a bunch of useless shit which is what I almost bought until realizing they were hiding the standard edition behind it.
I don't understand the reasoning behind finding ONE person who agrees with your unpopular opinion then claiming it as fact.
When did I claim it as fact?
I happened to agree with his opinion... but Im claiming it to be a factual statement in which all other who dont see it this way are mongoloids, is not what I did. I think those giving it 10/10 are seriously over hyping it.
I think U4 is a solid 8/10. And that got a 10/10 here which is ridiculous to me.
Secondly, its become like a tradition to post Angry Joe's Review here in SW. I didnt post it because I care about Overwatch, i posted because no one had posted it yet and its always good discussion when Angry Joe come out with a review.
@kend0_kap0ni: Angry Joe thought Uncharted 4 was a 9. Said it was maybe best game he ever played this gen.
I give it a solid 9. It's a great shooter that has already provided me many hours of enjoyment. This is only using 3 heroes, trying to learn them better. There are many more heroes I'm interested in using, so I have plenty more enjoyment to go. Even some heroes I'm not overly interested in, I see someone use them in an interesting way, and it sparks my interest.
Everyone has an opinion. I respect their opinions, but just because they have an opinion, doesn't mean it'll affect my enjoyment of a game.
@ConanTheStoner: even uncharted 4didnt cause this much salt and overwatch is a fucking multiplat lol
IKR.
@kend0_kap0ni: Angry Joe thought Uncharted 4 was a 9. Said it was maybe best game he ever played this gen.
He gave TLoU: R a 10/10 (he never played the PS3 version cuz he never had a PS3 last gen)
And I think he gave TW3 a 10/10 too
Overwatch is probably the most over-hyped game that i have ever seen, the game literally has NOTHING else to offer other than PvP, just because it has 21 characters dosent make it insta great.
This is a game that should have been free to play that charges full price for it

Overwatch is great - just about £17 great,
luckily this is a review and not his commentary on marketing
every fucking time its nonsense rambling for the gamer talk
respect his reviews but anything else sucks

lems dedicated atleast 4 threads to bashing UC4. Are you confused ? lol Til lthis day you dweebs compare it to Quantum flop lmao.
You can't really "fall for hype" if you're enjoying the game, which is what a lot of people seem to be doing...

Based on the beta its a $15 game at best

Yea, an actual good game. Oh wait, you're the guy who thought Bungie was complete garbage until Destiny, their worst game, came out. LMFAO hypocrite

Pfft hahahahahaha.
You got sonned Finalstar.
Game is so freaking fun. Just started playing with Mei and Junkrat to take a break from the supports. Both are a blast. If other people would rather play uncharted or halo that is cool, but I got hyped for this game after playing it, not before. It caters nicely to the folks who want some strategy in their shooter, but is still accessible enough that you can rapidly get noobs with the program just by leading by example.
Super well designed with it's chief priority being fun. That is pretty much all I could want from a non rts/tbs/sim.

Bungie is and always been garbage, they are a one time wanderer kind of developers, got lucky with halo and will never ever make a good game with a good story ever again, xbox devs LOL

Never thought Bungie were gods and I didn't even enjoy all the Halo games. ODST was garbage and Halo 3's multiplayer was a step backwards. You claim they're garbage but you put hundreds of hours into Destiny. wut? you're either dumb or completely aware of your shit taste.
Man I'm glad I can afford $40 to buy fun games.
I had zero hype for Overwatch. It wasn't even on my radar. I just got it because a couple friends of mine were getting it.
I'm glad I did though because the game is crack.
I'd say it's a solid 8.5-9.0
still the best MP shooter this year and, probably the best overall game released this year so far
It's a fun game, but I feel as though it would become incredibly repetitive. Not sure I'd spend 40 on it. Maybe 30.

I play overwatch in addition to halo.
Halo = balanced, competitive, big skill gap, fun but stressfull at time
Overwatch = more casual, more about team work then individual skill, low skill gap, not really stressfull
Depends on what i'm in the mood for, if I want some serious competition I play halo, If i want to relax and have some fun shooting people, i play overwatch

The PC version of OW definitely has a higher skill cap than Halo. I see it being much bigger in terms of esports than that game, for PC at least.

Also to add that he did TLOU review mainly for those who came from Xbox 360 to PS4 and he even said that in the review. I like that TLOU review he did. And yeah, he gave Withcer 3 a 10/10 since that game was indeed the best single player last year.
I watch is review this morning and for once, this review was spot-on. I personally didn't fall for the hype despite the beta was a lot of fun, it just wasn't on my radar. For the record, I like his rapid fire reviews since he doesn't use skits and other stuff. Just a fast talk, fast gameplay to show for and back up his claims whats wrong with the game. Way to go yet again Angry Joe.
Joe's videos are getting cheap man.
SAMPLE TEXT.
He didn't have a choice, he had to do the quickie reviews cause he's out of town for the most parts and he has way too many games to play and do review. Editing videos ain't easy as it sounds to be.

Dude it is a class base shooter. If you think the skill cap of your character is too low, then switch and learn to sync up better with the team. It is like Siege, flawlessly coordinated execution far more important then twitch reflexes. Sure you can lone wolf it and do well, but doing so will still losing it for your team.
Unless you are playing with a controller? I don't really know then. Most of the twitch skill cap in Overwatch comes from the fact that so much movement happens quickly and in three dimensions. I don't really know how that would work with a controller without some super strong auto aim. Does console Overwatch have crazy auto aim? Heck I bet console Lucio is so freaking OP if there is no auto aim.
Most review outlets don't take price into account, judging the game based solely on how it plays.
Since, well, they don't pay for their games.
There's argument to be made in favor of both.
It's that important to Joe, so he ticks down the score for it.
Fair enough, it's his review after all.
Sample text/10
In my opinion, $30 would be the perfect price point, but Blizzard's gotta make you pay extra.
And to me, $10 isn't much of an extra for such a great game.
Also he points out the sneeky attempt to charge for the Origin edition with a bunch of useless shit which is what I almost bought until realizing they were hiding the standard edition behind it.
Yeah, that's a bit of a dick move.
Links on the main page of battle.net throw you directly to Origins Edition, with no appearant way of choosing the standard one.
You have to manually enter the shop section and select the standard edition from there.
Let me get this straight,
- Joe says it's an amazing game
- He questions why user review scores are so much lower than critic review scores and concludes this is because critics were afraid to express how they actually felt because of hype. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
- Joe talks about the "value proposition" over and over. What?!?!?!
How many times do you hear Joe or someone in his party giggle and say things like "that was so much fun?" I lost count but that apparently doesn't count for much compared to having tons of modes or a single player campaign. What do you guys want, more 'game per dollar" or a game that is actually fun? I would rather play Overwatch, Splatoon or Titanfall over The Witcher 3 because I have more fun with them. What's the point of playing 200 hours of a game I'm not always having fun with?
