A Patch Will Fix It, It's all OK

So I like saying that because Game critics are glorified dick riders, they have created false expectations and given the gaming community some shitty habits. One of those is the mentality that a patch will fix it, means criticism is invalid or 'being harsh'.Bitch what?Did you not work for your money? Did you not suffer your shitty boss? your time at work? dare I say for some of you that work in retail or something like a Restaurant, those shitty ass stupid customers so you can pay the bills, and then during your free time play a game you paid your heard earned money for?I ask this, because it's usually followed by 'I feel bad for x developer' WHAT? **** the developer. They can go book a room at Blow Me Hotel, found somewhere between Kiss My Ass Lane and Step on A Lego Boulevard. You should feel bad for you, you spent your hard earned money, or your parents heard earned money. You are spending your free time, and the devs put their name on a broken game.Let's not even get into games that aren't broken, but got defended with 'you just need to wait to see what the patches will add to the game', because you know releasing a fun game day one is unfucking heard of apparently. Or the go to defense for Destiny's pitiful display was 'the DLC is really going to make or break this experience in the long haul'....so let me get this straight you are cool with paying 60 bucks for a game that isn't deep, isn't testing your skill from a reflex standpoint or tactical standpoint or anything, but instead tests to see if the person playing enjoys being a servant or if they are Autistic. But that's cool because one day the DLC might actually have interesting content in it.You know because some reason it needs to be explained that 'uh that game is completely different now that you can add content that you pay extra for on top of the 60 bucks you paid for the shitty parts of the game' is hilariously stupid.And this isn't a this year thing, these type of excuses have been made for Bethesda, Obsidian, and quite a few others who released unfinished, buggy games, that mind you might actually have excellent gameplay (I quite enjoy New Vegas), but the bottom line is your hard earned money went to a poorly produced product. And some of you are not only cool with that, but you defend it, damage control it even, by saying a patch will fix it, thus any criticism of it is null and void?Do you get paid to be a corporate slave? Do the publishers pay you top dollar? I'm curious when the **** did the alleged entitled gamers become so bitch and submissive? Because it is ridiculous that some of these games even release in the state that they do. Especially when this year you could have spent that money on not broken games.Thoughts SW? I know my least trolly thread, but I'm on injured reserve right now.

It's the truth. From a devs pov they can make a shit ton more money by releasing unfinished products when the hype is high as opposed to earning the respect of the most devout by releasing a polished masterpiece when everyone else except the eager few have forgotten all about it.

That's business, that's the world we live in since our beloved hobby has grown larger over the years. I don't like it much myself, but what can ya do? People wont stop rewarding this behavior any time soon.

Hype is everything for these products.
