I wish! I'm still waiting for pokemon and smash bros to come out to make getting my DS worth it. So far my XL is just an at home unit for playing DS games which still destroy Vita and 3DS games in terms of quality.

Thus far, it's been great.

I have 3DS XL, no vita.

I have OoT, MK7, SM3DL, and IK. All have been underwhelming...

But then, I don't own the 3DS, so I can't talk much about it. After seeing the games and how well they are going, I assumed that Nintendo is doing correctly with the handheld unlike Sony. PS Vita is basically a console wannabe. It's a handheld.

Crap controls. I loved several FPS games on the DS. Stylus + dpad works well and is very accurate. Not the case here. You have to pretend you are rotating a sphere of sorts and use momentum of the screen to turn properly.

Story isconvoluted with so much random crap. Even if they are supposed to be references to other Nintendo games like eggplant wizards for ice climbers, seeing an eggplant with two legs completely snaps you out of the zone. Wtf. Plus the conversation going on the entire time. Annoying as crap. You can't take the game seriously at all.

Its not terrible, but not top notch stuff by any means let alone best game since SMG 2?

As for kid icarus, I haven't heard a single legitimate criticism against it that isn't simply whining about the controls Shinobishyguy

I think Super Mario 3D Land is amazing, best handheld platformer, probably ever. But I agree the OoT remake was a big letdown. Really no new additions to the game at all. I was hoping for something to make it worth while, but honestly I'd rather play the original because the controls aren't very good and the 3D kinda sucks. Wasn't worth buying again.

Compared to the PSVita, I'd say he's right. At least the majority of these games he's listed are actually on retail shelves.

It's a pretty valid point to complain about.

Having a weird ass dash/walk system and littering the later levels with platforms/ledges that float over bottomless pits caused countless frustration. Then along with the difficulty system that lowers every time you die; it's a pain in the ass. The horrible vehicle controls were nothing to write home about either.

I didn't have trouble with enemies. It was the awkward pseudo-platforming. It sucks too because as difficulty level lowered bosses that took 2 minutes to beat on higher difficulty took 30 seconds to beat.

Another complaint I had was the checkpoints weren't save points, some levels are quite short; some levels can last for awhile. It would be nice to break up the flying/ground sections with a save point if I'm running low on time.

So there are my reasons. I haven't delved into the online yet, and most likely won't because that' not my kind of shindig.

KI was soo underwhelming. 3dland was okay, but rather boring an uninspired. Only other game I have can can comment on is OoT and it is a port with a grapchical upgrade. Underwhelming.
