hahaahahaha.............oh wait the TC is serious. BTW sony owns those games but then again its not the storage its the devs, achitecture and the budget.
Since 360 is so easy to develop for as they say 360 should be far ahead if comparable but what does it get..L4D2 and ODST which both look like trash to Killzone and Uncharted2killzowned24
Both will be enjoyed for much longer, and be enjoyed by far more people.
I guess that kidna means Gameplay > Graphics?
Thats a good point. I never noticed it before. I really doubt the 360 will ever have a game that is load free. It's uh....technically impossible. It's also technically impossible the make a game look as good as sonys first party exlusives on the 360.do anyone of you know that uncharted 2 doesnt load in the entire game once?

[QUOTE="Mr_Lube"][QUOTE="mythrol"]So no one has taken the obvious route and told him . . . storage medium =/= graphics ???mythrolwho said anything about graphics? this game could even look better on 360 if they really wanted to. uh, I think you're misguided in your thinking at all the 360 needs is an ADDON Blu-Ray Player to get Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2. The games would have be entirely rewritten for the 360. They currently use Sony's game engine called "Edge". This is a Sony only game engine. It takes advantage of every little quirk of the PS3. It's not as simple as, "add a blu-ray player, can play Sony games". Besides, we haven't seen what Microsoft's X-Engine can do. The 360 on it's own might be able to surpass Uncharted 2's graphics. It's already darn close while using a 3rd party game engine like UE3.
BAM! HEADSHOT! This post is the correct answer, no major, if any at all, 360 games use a game engine built specifically for the 360, they are 3rd party engines like UE3, if and when the 360 has a game that uses an engine built specifically for the 360's architecture, the games would run much more efficiently on the 360.
[QUOTE="Mr_Lube"][QUOTE="Frank2368"]Everything wise its able to do the WHOLE GAME. I actually read in the official playstation magazine of australia, under the review of uc2 that the developers had said that it was impossible to get uncharted 2 to run on ANY other hardware at the time. I also think it's extremely unlikely that the 360 will ever get a bluray add on, what incentive does sony even have to do so? M$ would probably have to sell itself out to sony for sony to let them use the bluray technologyHardware wise, it is able to do graphics like U2 and KZ2. U2 has alot of duped data in order to have no loading time

SONY does not make the decision of who can use Blu-Ray, the Blu-Ray Association does, besides, MS gets royalties from Blu-Ray.
So now that I got those pics of my roommates' 360 out of the way, as I was saying, Halo ODST doesn't impress me one bit even on a 1080p 56" Samsung plasma TV.
this game could even look better on 360 if they really wanted to.Mr_Lube
I'll see that and raise you a
Gears 2 probably, maybe, would look better on the PS3 if they wanted.

TREY_FOR_LI4E
odst wasnt supposed to impress anybody... it wasnt a showcase for graphics. they wanted to put alot of enemies on screen, you have to take a hit in resolution unless you want alot of framerate dips
It's not just limited to ODST. I haven't seen a single 360 game that impresses me on the level of a game like MGS 4, Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2.

thats fine... thats your opinion
the hardware tells a different story. just because they havent, doesnt mean it cant...
That's like saying just because I haven't dunked like Michael Jordan doesn't mean I can't.
TREY_FOR_LI4E
think about it:
the hardware is very similar... it can handle it
if you are 4 feet tall, its obvious you wouldnt be able to dunk, let alone dunk over MJ
a little logic helps...

so tell me, between your time posting on an internet forum, and taking pictures for said forum, when do you, you know, practice law?clone01

the 360 blu-ray player (if it even happens) will only be an add-on. what does this mean? the devs will not make games on bluray disc for the 360 because not everyone is gonna go out and buy the add-on. even if the 360 bluray add-on becomes a reality, devs will continue to make their games for the 360 on dvd9 format. so you're wrong. it's like you basically admitted 360 can't do uncharted 2 nor killzon 2.
I don't know what you mean by "here," but yes, it's almost noon on a Thursday here in San Diego, and I'm at the office again.
And I proved that when I say not a single 360 game has impressed me as much as the best PS3 exclusives, I'm speaking from experience.
Once the 360 gets an add on blu ray player all these games are possible on 360 and we might even see them all come to 360 from their respective devs then the ps3 what will it have over the 360? Mr_LubeSplit the game onto multiple discs, and make the install manditory, ... oh wait, that suddenly means all 360s with hard drives can run any game.. wow, see what i did there? nothing!
[QUOTE="mythrol"]So no one has taken the obvious route and told him . . . storage medium =/= graphics ???Mr_Lubewho said anything about graphics? this game could even look better on 360 if they really wanted to.
Doubtful, 360 games tend to have a cancave look to them, if you look at the sides of the screen on games such as halo and Gears they seem to be stretched. The PS3 has incredible depth of field which makes an image look the way it should that takes care of this flaw.
okay, but that's nothing more than your opinion. you're no more correct or incorrect than anyone else on this forum. And I proved that when I say not a single 360 game has impressed me as much as the best PS3 exclusives, I'm speaking from experience.

So? Your opinion =/= the truth.
You can call it opinion, but when I compare 360 games that my roommates play to the games I play on PS3, I see massive gap between the two systems' exclusives.

yes, that is opinion.A widely shared opinion. Even my roommates agree.
You know what they say about denial: its a defense mechanism.
Also, 360 isn't getting a blu ray player, and if it did then it would be a major screw over to let it play games better, soo... they aren't doing that. Besides its not JUST the BR disc, PS3 specs might help.
Just saying. Besides, since they are Sony published games they have just less likelyhood of Halo coming to PS3, which it could right NOW, but it won't since its MS owned.
oh, hey, I guess it's just "opinion" when people say Crysis is the best looking PC game, if not best looking game. Period.

Apparently most people agree with him, as PS3 games are much more critically acclaimed graphically.;)

TREY_FOR_LI4E
except that its a technical fact that crysis is graphically superior to any console game. it can get resolutions far higher than what the ps3/360 or even your hdtv can handle

Crysis being technologically superior than any console game is fact. It has access hardware that can push much more, higher res textures, higher LOD, higher draw distance, more can be loaded into memory (hence a sprawling island), etc etc.
It is fact, not opinion.

neither does yours.THE BLU RAY ADD ON WONT BE USED IN GAMES. got that? /topic.Drakes_FortuneTopic shouldve ended right there.
the 360 cant do ps3 games that is a fact.cow_allesandroDeferred rendering for lights can be done on Xbox 360 e.g. Cryengine 3.
Unreal Engine 3 does not use deferred rendering for lights.
