before you start hating me, i had both PS2 and PS3 and loved them

as we know PS3 is about 6x faster than PS2 and PS4 about 6x faster than PS3, so this new card...

ps. i dont recommend no one buying this, id rather tell you to spend your money on a ps4 because this kind of PC to play the games we have today is a total waste

They create all these powerful graphic cards, but then developers never fully utilize them before a new card is released. Will any developer ever use all the power and features of that Titan Z card in a game?

Well technically that's not a single graphics card, but yeah, it's certainly very impressive and the design they've used (especially for a reference card) is brilliant, would love to see more water cooled top end GPU's like that. Only issue with it is the ridiculous power usage.

Not sure about it beating the PS5 as far as visuals go (because who knows when that'll come out and what new tech will come out by then) but the fact we're at a point where there are cards capable of smooth 4K gameplay with almost every modern game is definitely amazing.

There wont be a PS5. Consoles are done at the end of this gen.

Here's hoping Steam Box paves the way for open standard hardware from now on, so we don't get stuck with netbook CPU's and 2007-era graphics cards for 10 years at a time anymore.

For starters the ps3 was about 20x ps2 in power and no this card will not be stronger than the ps5. The ps5 will have to render games at 4k while also having a graphics jump, so expect a bare minimum 15 teraflop gpu. It will also utilize gddr6 or stacked dram, combined with ddr4 system memory.

The PS4 is really an upgraded PS3. Sony slapped in a more powerful GPU and called it a day.

@lostrib: I'm using logic, let's say the ps5 launches in 2020 4k will be standard by then and the system needs to be strong enough to drive it. GDDR6 graphics cards are only a year or 2 away and ddr4 is also.

The Xbox 920 TWO will have the power of 17 Titan graphics cards. Known fact.
