That was and will be the best game of the entire 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.Swanogt19Says a Bruins fan.
Says a Bruins fan. Are you serious? So what if I am a Bruins fan? Double overtime, both goalies playing out of their minds. Teams skating up and down the ice with crazy chances in both overtimes. Both teams having powerplays in overtime. Even if Boston lost it would have been an amazing game.[QUOTE="Swanogt19"]That was and will be the best game of the entire 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.RoslindaleOne
[QUOTE="RoslindaleOne"]Says a Bruins fan. And who the f*ck are you? Calling me out when you've never posted in this thread during the playoffs. Piss off. I'm a Bruin's fan. :)[QUOTE="Swanogt19"]That was and will be the best game of the entire 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.Swanogt19

EDIT: If you don't believe me just wiki Roslindale. I just wanted to see what reaction you would make. Why is everyone so hostile around here?
[QUOTE="starwarsjunky"]couldn't have handpicked these matchup for the pens any better. islander, sens, and now the bruins? wow...Swanogt19You were saying? Reading this, I remember the cockiness Vancouver had on us....
I was rooting for the Penguins but we lost to the better team; I hope the Bruins win the Stanley Cup now since it will make me feel better that we lost to the champions instead of losing to someone that will just get eliminated.Basically I was rooting for anyone but the Penguins. :)
And I hate almost every professional team on I-95 that isn't D.C. :P

Boy you think the Bruins would actually try in Game 5.
JML897
Bergeron being out made a huge difference. Toews was hurt too but I think the Bruins need Bergeron more than the Hawks need Toews. Hopefully both of them are back and ready to go for game 6
We did it JML897. 2 times in 3 years. I called it.
Too bad its not a WhiteSox, Bulls/Bears championship though.
They've had all 4 pro teams of theirs win a title in the past decade. How many cities can say they've ever had that happen? But yeah that must've sucked to have their hearts ripped out last nightNot a hockey fan but christ, it must suck to be a boston sports fan, the amount of heart-break they've endured these last few years must be rough.

Winning is awesome but losing, especially in the ways they've experienced, must be especially heart-breaking.ÂNot a hockey fan but christ, it must suck to be a boston sports fan, the amount of heart-break they've endured these last few years must be rough.

Their team made it to the finals, that's something to hang their hats on. Â And they lost to the best team in the regular season, and they played their hearts out, and it was one of the best finals in a long time. Â I know it's always better to have your team win, but having them lose in a series that's probably going to go down as a classic isn't the worst thing in the world.
Also, props to Boston fans for staying for the ceremony. Â Philly fans should be taking notes.

Well Well look what we have here. I seem to recall telling you the Jake Peavy deal was a bad move. He was too injury prone and the Sox should let him go instead giving him a decent amount money. Nope theone86 approved the deal. Way to go GM of the year. Now what Chicago sports fans supoosed to root for in the summer because the WhiteSox(and Cubs) are finished.[QUOTE="theone86"][QUOTE="C_Glass"]

I know its the wrong thread but i wanted to address this issue at you when I see you was the last to post on any thread. Anyway, congrats to the local Blackhawks. Its too bad we are not huge NHL fans to really be excited for.It is very rough on the heart, but it isn't all bad. New York then Boston.Boston fans are more spoiled. Look at recent history.
Football: Giants have a couple super bowls but the Jets are the laughing stock of the league. Patriots have been contenders pretty much every year since 2001. I guess I'll give NY the edge because of more recent Super Bowls, but even then that's only half of the city that enjoyed them since the fanbase is split.
Basketball: Celtics won a title recently and are respectable, the Knicks are the most overrated organization in all of sports. They have a grand total of 2 NBA championships that they won in the 70s. Like the Jets they get laughed at all the time. Nets are boring.
Baseball: Yankees and Red Sox are the same
Hockey: Bruins have had more recent success than either NY team

"but eventually Boston sports will have another 1990s".
At no time during the 1990s did Boston not have a playoff-caliber team. Looks like 1997 was the only year when Boston didn't have at least two teams in the playoffs. And yet, that was supposed to be a down period for Boston sports. Spoiled!
Yeah but because New York has more teams they have been more consistently successful. Bruins last cup before 2011 was in the 70s, same with the Celtics, the Sox had nothing for 90 years, and the Pats first SB win was in 01. We had a very good streak, but eventually Boston sports will have another 1990s. New York will always have a few teams that are contenders because of the sheer number and the size of the market.[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]

haha fine. I am inclined to agree. This might be the worst year in a while to have lots of cap space. We'll be overpaying for Clarkson/Bozak/others. And buying out Grabo was just stupid. Probably the best center out there now.
