I thought he was a little to harsh on AOSTH. I know he made some good points, but honsetly I thought AOSTH was a good series back in the day and I know it doesn't have a plot, but its still much better than Sonic X and Sonic Underground.

I can't say AoStH had any redeeming qualities -badly animated, totally unfunny, embarrassing- so I really enjoyed that review.Menalque2
Yeah I felt the same way about AoStH where it seemed like the entire script of the show consisted of ten pages written in crayon saying "Sonic runs around, eats chilidogs and dresses in goofy costumes while Robotnick does stupid stuff." Sure we all watched this as kids, but not all those shows we watched as kids age well. At least Sonic X was well drawn and tried to have a plot.

It's like something you didn't mind as a kid because you were 6 or something but you look back now at 17 or 18 and think it wasn't really that good.I blame Power Rangers for killing off Sonic SATAM.

If you guys read my "Screwed by executive meddling" SatAM kept getting shoved around in its timeslot and during the second season, the network didn't even let people know when it was airing or when new episodes were coming out and this was mostly due to the fact that ABC was being bought by Disney at the time (this ranks among many of the evils brought on by Micheal "Satan" Eisner) and they were basically trying to get rid of SatAM along with other shows as a way to "clean house" and get ready to revamp the Saturday morning lineup for hte "One Saturday Morning" which was an abomanation not only for killing SatAM but for ruining the great Nickelodeon series Doug and turning characters I loved into whiny annoying teenagers with bland personalities.
That's so true Disney ruined a lot of things.

Just FYI, we all owe John Lasseter, founder of Pixar a major thank you or a burnt offering for putting an end to the horrid direct to DVD sequels that Disney was cranking out for a while there as well as he recently ressurected the hand drawn animation studio which is bringing out The Princess and the Frog and Rapunzel in the coming months.
I mean really guys, he worked hard for us to put an end to the crap, at least in terms of movies. Now he just needs to go kill the Jonas bothers, Hannah Montana and the entire cast of High School Musical and all will be right with the world again.

I was going 2 ask u why SatAM was taken off at some point thx anyways
You know I have to respect Ben Hurst for not giving all of the details of season three of SATAM since he wants to get SATAM back on the air.

[QUOTE="macrules_640"]Yeah I know its not going to happen because of Sega.

Even if SatAM came back, 4Kids still retains the rights to Sonic so that means SatAM with 4Kids voice acting. UGH!!
I say hold off on SatAM till 4Kids is nuked by the rabid Sonic fans who decide to end up creating their own militia, who then take over the US's nuclear missile tubes and targets them all at 4Kids, creating a massive explosion out of multiple explosions in one little area, creating a hole in the center of the earth and causing the lava to flow, burning all of civilization to ash, if the radiation don't kill us first. It could happen, these are Sonic fans after all.
Unless 4kids had another building somewhere in the states.

If there's another, it's gotta be 4Kids of Japan or something.
I loved AoSTH. The series followed the games in terms of plot (and could've been sub-stories when we were a nation that hadn't yet realised it was actully set on earth and that Sonic didn't find ails as a baby). The character themes were great, especially the Robotnik theme. Scratch and Grounder were just really stupid and memorable, and it was just a funny lil' series, which was meant to take the mickey, and make you feel really childish, but at the same time, in a kind of slap-stick way.
Â
Satam wasn't my cuppa tea. It was rarer to see on TV (In England anyway), and it didn't fit the plots. The characters for me were unrecognisable, and maybe it was my age, but I thought the setting was too dramatic and silly for Sonic (I must have been 4 when it started). Underground was just embarrasing, and at first glance Sonic X was okay, but then you realise it's got humans who're straight from Pokemon (basically), annoying voices for a lot of the characters, and for the most part, bad music and terrible translation.Â
That's the whole point of AOSTH you're not suppose to take it to seriously and that's what made it great. It was good for people with short attention spans.
Â
Aosth was preety good, with quite a few laughs, Sonic Christmas Blast was great as well. However, childhood nostalgia aside, Aosth really suffers, particulary with the poor cartooning. Then again, childhood nostalgia aside, Satam stumbles as well, as poor plotting, dark setting and little Tails makes Sonic a boring hedgehog.
Sorry.
the less said about underground and Sonic x the better...
