Trump stated on Friday, the wall is getting built and he will impose a 20% tariff on Mexico imports. Mexico's foreign minister Videgeray then had the following to say, "Mexico believes in free trade" and they "would have to respond". The US imports and exports lots of goods with Mexico it would be costly to have Mexico impose there own tariffs on the US.
"Mexico is by far the top destination for Texan exports, with goods worth $92.4bn exported there in 2015, according to the US Department of Commerce."
You think Mexico will pay for the wall? Will Trump be able to cut a deal with Mexico where he gets his wall and Mexico is still US trading partner.
