What was the longest boss fights you ever had??

Just finished Resident Evil 5 yesterday, and I just sat there and HAD to finish it. The final boss that I am not going to mention "its" name is just so damn frustrating, it took me about an hour to finish the fight and land the killshot. Even though finishing thegame was satisfying, the ending wasn'ttoo original.After I got off my couch I felt dizzy and about to throw up since I was concentrating too much. So what about you guys? What are the most intense boss fights you had?

Wasn't really a boss, but one of the Espers in FFXII (I forget the name, but the one who becomes resistant to everything after awhile) took about 2 hours. I didn't even kill it. Just couldn't land any hits on him. It's almost impossible, but I'm sure there's a way. Seriously, all that time wasted for nothing :cry:

There are a lot bosses that took long (like the last in lagend of dragoon or secret of mana) but overall I'd say Emerald Weapon in FF VII which I firstly killed with KotR xD

What was it in FFXI...Yiamtzu or soemthing? I never beat it but I saw a youtube vid lasting an hour on it!

Radec in killzone 2 on elite difficulty.That was a really long boss fight.conistant

yeah :lol: I kept dying so I just changed to normal, that was the only hard part in the game imo.

Same for Resistance 2 in Super Human, last boss wasn't hard just very annoying having to run in circles for 20 mins, I thought the game was broken. lol

It would have to be the sniper duel with The End in Snakeater.

I guess the bosses in Resident Evil 5 were pretty long.

hmmmmms idk cuz i cant really rmbr like all the times but i would say in my memory the one i spent the longest time on because i had soo much fun was the crying wolf battle in MGS4 i was like crawling everywhere and sneaking and took my sweet time killing her lol it was awesome :P um it took about an hour?

Yiazmat from FFXII took me 1 and a half hours to bring down. It was brutal.

in the end i never beat sephiroth and my brother decided to use game genie to beat him. I also never beat the boss from ff8 because she would knock me down to one hp and in the time it took to revive my dead party to launch a counter attack she would do it again. I think the first time i fought the sniper from mgs3 it took me about two hours to beat him.

Defeating The End Nonlethally in MGS3 was the longest boss fight I had.

The flying pig boss from "Prinny: can I really bee the hero"

don't really know how long itlasted since I didn't play through it in one go, but that was easily the most time consuming boss I've ever played. I believe I wastedalmost 200 lives on that boss alone. (note that, for me, this boss was the one carrying the last piece of the ultra desert. don't know if it matters)

That was an awesome boss fight (and difficult on the hardest difficulty) you gotta go back and finish that game its great and i love that boss fight...man its been a while since i played buy i just remember using good camoflague and looking for his bird or sniper scope reflection. You shoulkd seriously try it again ;)

i would also agree with radec (along with my statement about the end in mgs3) but ya radec on elite was crazy cause its not even like your fighting him for the most part but the hordes of soldiers and then after all that you gotta fight him... lol

emerald weapon from ff7. i never got the underwater item so i had to beat it within the time limit.

i just remembered.. the final boss in conan too.

haha i did tht once as well! i was sniping frogs in between attacking here to pass time! uber fun tho! one of my fave boss fights :D

No game type restriction in (if MMO count) I would say some boss on FFXI takes quite a few hours to bring down. Guess our worst fight took us 5-6 hours ...

There was a long boss fight in Dark Sector which took a while, but also the final boss on RE5.

The End took me about 7 minutes to beat. Guess I didn't play the right way???

Yazimat in FFXII. Thankfully it was a fight were you could leave and comeback to it with the boss at the same HP as when you left. Also, not techincally a boss fight, but the endurance races in GT4 where some races lasted a real life 24hrs. Those were fun.

I have never beat a FF end-boss or weapon, I really can't be bothered to get to get high HP and Mana. The longest and closest I came to beating the end-boss in FFX, inside The Sin, forgot his name but it's your dad or something and when you fight him the music is like rock, anyway I got up to the bit where he takes the sword out of his chest and I had knocked him down to about 70,000HP, his 1st stage BTW has about 90,000 I think, I'm doing all this from memory, the 2nd stage (with the sword) he has 120,000HP.

Probally most of the bosses in Mario and Luigi: Partners in time aswell as the one for gameboy.

The last boss just took forever i had to take breaks in between :P

End Boss Legend of Dragoon hands down longest time spent on a console game boss. Other than that, countless wipes in WoW raids when the game first launched and people were just getting to lvl 60....good times.

mgs 3 the end still the best boss battle and longestimo.

actually come to think of it the boss of legend of the dragoon was longer i swear that dude had like 7 generations or something.

Not a PS3 game, but in the final boss (Metrac I think) in Killzone Liberation. I left my PSP on sleep mode for days while I was trying to beat him. That was an insane boss fight...

resistance is the only game in the history of the hundreds of games i've played that i didnt beat bc it was so hard, so hard and crappy graphics....

It took me ages to beat Raging Raven in MGS4.

Like most of the people who posted, I think that The End from MGS3 was long. I mean honestly the fight gave me a headache.

BUT, Radec was both long and hard so I choose him... seriously this guy is literally facepalming me when he cloaks.

The crying wolf battle in MGS4, i just hid under the armored truck with my grenade launcher and popped a few rounds into her every ten minuits, i must have been in the same spot for an hour

The End from MGS3. Longest boss fight of my life.

Well the longest (though pretty easy) boss fight I had was The End from MGS3, I took my time sneaking around in that thick jungle tryin to find him and take him down and being carefull that he doesn't notice me. It took me about a good 2 hours to finish him off my first time.
