Introduction

Welcome to the PS3 Recommendation thread. Here, you will find the top rated and most popular games for the PS3. This thread was created to give you an advice about what game(s) to get. Every game is linked to its gamespace and its written review,in some cases its video review. It also contains some useful information about the ERSB rating system. Also, be sure to check the EDIT HISTORY, there you will find when the thread is updated with a tag.

*NOTE* ALL"What game should I get?" or any similar questions relating to game recommendation threads outside this stickied thread will be locked. This is THE ONLY place to ask for recommendations in the PS3 board. Thanks. - Caddy06_88

I would say Uncharted because it's the game with the lowest price from those 3. However,LPB and R2 are great choises if you prefer online and co-op gaming.

Well dont get uncharted its an excellent game but the other two well last you longer. R2 is if you need a good shooter. If you want something completely different then get LBP. Get LBP if you have alot of friends with a PS3 or who come over alot. I think out of those the one that could last you the longest would be LBP but i have played R2

Get Them All! But if cash is limited lbp-resistance-drake

youll get the most out of your money with lbp and resistance due to their extensive online content

just got lbp for xmas and its exactly what i wanted from the game. incredably fun story mode and even better w/ a friend. havnt even touched the online user created content yet cause i know once i start i wont want to go back to the story mode. just all around great game all will enjoy. doesnt look like a type of game some might be into but its great for all players

and as for resistance the story mode is said to be short and boring compared to fall of man but who cares cuase the online is incredable. youll be playing online for a long time with this game. and the 60 man battles are unbelieavble. youd think that with so many in one single battle it might be confusing and to much chaos but they really seperate things nicely and it really works well.

Search around your local ebgames/gamestops and looked for a used copy. play for acouple days and if its not what you fully expected return it in seven days for your cash back. pretty much a free rental. i do it all the time with games that seem to have little replay value. why not play through the game and get what you need out of it and get something else for yourself.

Big Griff Out!

canana: for Soul Caliber IV you said under negatives "Can't pit Vader against Yoda, yet" when you actually can ... but it is a $5 download for Yoda (in the US, not sure about anywhere else yet).

IMO uncharted is something that you CAN'T miss out on. I just beat it yesterday, and I got that same feeling while playing metal gear solid 4. both have this AMAZING single player mode... get uncharted for sure. as for R2 or LBP id say that if you already have a lot of FPSs then get LBP. If you barely have any FPSs then get R2, and let people prepare some awesome lvls while you wait. so that thered be a lot more cool levels by the time you buy it.

I'd Say Uncharted >>> R2 = LBP Honestly all 3 games are awesome. I think Uncharted is undoubtedly the best, its graphics are pretty good, but the story and the game play are phenomenal. R2 lacks story, but just makes up in its new co-op mode, although a co-op story mode would have been nice, the lack of one is disappointing, but its still a great game with 60 player multiplayer. And LBP is just plain cute and fun. You can't go wrong with the evolution of 2D platforming. And the new MGS Add on to LBP is awesome and brings a lot of new gameplay to the game.

Ok, so I bought Little Big Planet and hated it. I'm taking it back and was thinking about exchanging it for NG Sigma and The Orange Box, but I'm not sure if I should go with the 360 or PS3 version of TOB. I'm leaning towards PS3 because I don't have an Xbox Live gold membership and wouldn't be able to play TF2. But GS's review of the PS3 version put some doubt in my mind. Thoughts?

the reviews bashed it because the servers weren't ready at the time of release, but now servers are a lot better. the game is in the 8-8.5 range now, and it comes with a freakin sweet headset. the game is worth a purchase now if you ask me
