Cross-game chat as a premium feature is a bad idea. That's a basic functionality that everyone should have (plus what's the point if half of your friends can't do it?).

But this is just a survey of potential options, not what it's actually going to be.

I guess that doesn't include free music downloads. Sounds like it could get expensive if that is so. I like buying my CD's for better quality so I might pass for a while on this. I wonder if you still get the 3 year warranty if you stop your subscription after 1 year. Probably don't get the warranty.

I don't see them do some thing special ,they just take from us main thing thank God not the online ,I thought the premium account will be for add on content ,some videos ,wallpapers ,and some ps one games.

I never seem to be able to disagree with you man!:P....and your definitely right,how the heck can they charge for cross-game chat when that should be included in the basic service??? Other then that, everything else sounds pretty good.

I'm pretty sure nowhere in the post or the survey itself stated that all free access was going away. You keep the stuff that is free now and if you want to fork over cash, you get the extra stuff. What's the problem with that? the only thing is the cross-game-chat, i think that should be included in the basic we have now, but then again i dont care for it i rarely would use it and it dont make that much sense for me to talk to someone whose in another game while im in another game.minionofgotham

Well, I just sent my launch 60g off for repairs(yes the dreaded yellow light)"BUT" I'm not to angry because I still say the PS3 is a worth while investment. It wasn't just my gaming machine, it was my main media hub...I kinda pushed it to the max!!! lol...can't wait to get it back though:)

Oh yeah, I'm not against these options. They're all things I don't need. I don't even care about cross-game voice chat, but I can see the backlash coming if they make it a premium feature.

BUT I'm just trying to stress that these aren't necessarily the options they'll be using, it's just a survey.

I dont mind paying a monthly fee if there is enough to justify it. Xbox makes you pay for features which IMO, should be free, which is why i dont like it. Some of these ideas soudn great, i REALLY like the unlimited PSone access
