I only bought one game (3 since it's a bundle), since the umd version was expensive. It was mgs psp bundle (mgs portable ops, +, digital novel). Aside from that, I haven't bought any games on the psn. I don't feel right paying more than $20 for a digital game. It's ok maybe once or twice, but buying the digital copy over the umd, no thanks. It's ok with music/mp3 but with psp games and they cost $29-$39 for new games. No thank you.
I bought Patapon 2 (which is from PSN either way, I suppose) and the two Prince of Persia games because they were $5 and $7 or something ridiculous. I would buy more if they were cheaper than retail. Yes, they're slightly more convenient, but I don't own them and can't sell them if I decide I want to later on or if I don't like them as much as I expect.
I've bought 3 or 4 but that's mainly due to availability retail in Aus. For e.g. Pixeljunk Monsters took forever to be releaed here but I got it for $20 online (new games are about $50 here)
I buy some games I can't find in stores like I couldn't find Portable Ops so I downloaded it, also if I am too lazy to go out I just download games instead or sometimes games are cheaper on PSN than in stores so I will download a game if it is cheaper on PSN. I own a total of 6 downloaded games (not including minis and PSN exclusives) and about 10 UMDs. I also buy a lot of PSone classics and PSN exclusives.
Not very interested. Perhaps if they'll have some sort of crazy sale one day that lowers the prize of a digital download to virtually nothing. But otherwise, I'll only download demo's and get the UMD if it's good.
the only game i've paid for off the PSN was Crash Bandicoot, and thats because it's a PSone classic game (not on umd). but other than that, i can find ANY game thats on the psn cheaper on Amazon.com on umd. why pay more for the digital version? I dont get that.

1. Price. Digital versions of the games are usually more expensive. Plus, I live outside the US, so I have to buy PSN cards from eBay sellers, who usually charge $5 more per card (like, $25 for a $20 card). As for physical copies, they can be bought used, for a bargain price. I've just bought 4 PS2 games for only $36 total, including shipping prices.
2. Manual and actual game case are always nice to look at, when you're not playing, of course. Just look at Dissidia Final Fantasy or LittleBigPlanet's manual. Thick and colorful.
3. As the Terms of Service said, Sony could stop providing services at any time. I am quite sure that about 10 years later, Sony will stop providing services for the PSP. Therefore, if your PSP dies, you can't transfer your current PSP games to a new one, since you can't connect your PSP to your existing PSN account.
Never though about #3, that would suck years from now. But then again there will be the PSP ****cs by then and such. But i just wish there were no taxes on em'. Make them all an equal amount. 10$ even. So we could get our money's worth from PSN cards
I'm going to start buying everything digital for the psp. Just getting ready for the psp 2 which I hope'll be backwards compatible umd less and I'll be ready at that point sort of.
I only have patapon 2 downloaded but I'll get peace walker soon. Very soon indeed.
