PSN Avatars selection

I totally agree, though there should be a wider selection of avatars provided. Where the hell is Snake? Its not good...RandomBeast

It still matters somewhat since the avatars we have now will still exist. I mean they'll still be in places like...oh...say...my sig...

The really need to expand the Avatars selection. BTW how do you change an Avatar?

I dont think they should allow people to upload their own images, we'll just end up seeing a bunch of dirty pornographic images as their avatars, just like the comments, I have read the nastiest things on their.pirategunner

Now that I think about it. I think that they are going to wait for Home to be released for that option / pleasure.

you would be suprized how wrong you are, I mean, even look at our very own Gamespot. User-generated avatars and have you ever seen any pornographic ones? Also I've never been on X-box live but I know plenty of people who would say that they have never seen any dirty pictures there.

I'm all-for a wider selection or even user generated avatars.

OK, so I kinda just flipped to the last page of this...(yes, feel free to chide, yell and belittle me! :P) and I was thinking, what if, say, you had to upload your avatar to say a main server, where it's checked for inappropriate content and then "signed-off" on saying it's been checked and verified, then sent as a message to your PSN where you can select something like "Use as PSN Avatar?"? I realize this might be a bit of a problem, but I'm positive Sony's got the resources to do this kind of thing! That means we get our custom avatars and they'll remain clean and appropriate.

It'd be nice to have some new avatars. The lack of characters is disappointing...

Also, it would be nice if we could upload our own avatars.

im with you, but i see why they might not put custom avatars, cuz then people could just "inapropriate" pictures.

I used to think i was just being destroyed due to a bad day and slow reflexes. The games are usually decided by who has the strongest signal and that's no fun!

Custom avatars is long overdue.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I totally think more avatars should be made available, especially with PS3's user base increasing as it is. Half the people on my friend list have the same avatar.

I'm not so sure about custom avatars. Next thing you know, we've got half the people on our friends list's avatars being pictures of their anus or something. Freedom = responsibility... all you need to do is wander into a game of Killzone 2 and you'll know that the average PS3 user has all the responsibility they can handle and more.

You should be able to select pics from your photos to put as your avatar.

i would like more avatars. but i dont think we need custom avatars. and another thing, right now there are avatars of sports balls like baseballs, tennis balls, and basketballs, but there aren't a pic of a football, wtf is up with that, i guess its because japan hasnt heard of football but still they should have it.

The selection is weak. We need more.
