Even though square lets us wait 5 years for its masterpieces its always well worth the wait. And as always they destroy whatever standard is set in video game graphics. FF13 will be something to behold. BUt think how the first final fantasy on a console barely stands up to a final fantasy at the nd of a console's life. Look at FF12 versus FF10. So whatever we'll get with FF13, Square WILL have an even better one further down the line. The future of PS3 looks good alright

You fanboys do know that the PS3's and 360's graphics systems are already obsolete compared to a PC's right? When direct X 10 comes out it will be able to leave the graphical capabilities of the two systems in the dirt.

A Geforce 4, a card radicaly slower than the RSX can render the dinosaurs from Jurasic park over 100x faster, but did GF4 games look as good as JP let alone 100x? No. Im sure FF13 will look great but realtime rendering is a still 1 generation off for most games.

GPUs are designed to do 3D calculations very very fast, they cut corners, take shortcuts anything to get the speed. CPUs however are multi function, they do everything by the book, in a generic way. This is why gfx cards are used and why GPUs dont run normal software. The Cell would be destroyed running 3D vs a 7800, which is also why it has very little to do with gfx apart from filtering the data, like PCs have done for years.
You'll never have quite as many polygons and quite as sharp textures as you could have with pre-rendered graphics, but it's getting close to a level where you hardly see the difference. Anyways, I want this game so bad

ofcourse the cell cant do full fledged graphics because its a cpu
but the cell is designed to also help the gpu with difficult rendering parts for instance a wall in a game its mostly calculated by the gpu on the xbox360 and pc. the more complex gpu threads you move to the cpu the more you can do with the rsx and let it work on things its most suitable for pulling of amazing graphics..Â
problem is devs have been working mostly with gpus in the past couple of years its just a matter of time when we will see developers using the cell and bring some threads from the gpu to cpu...!!

However, think about this for a second. Square Enix is usually light-years ahead of the competition in terms of visual fidelity. Looking back at FFX in 2001, that game could be argued to have never been truly matched, except maybe by its successor, FFXII. So, I don't hold out my breath for the rest of the game development community to quickly catch up. I can hope though, can't I?
360 can do Gears of War.. lol thats not hollywood level graphics.. its pretty but its not hollywood.. this game is going to be visually AMAZINGE_x_i_l_e

Gears maybe pretty but its confined and not as much happening at the same time as Resistance; i am sure FF13 can outdo Gears...the video card is about the same power and Cell is more powerful; i just don't see why this can't be done. The only difference was that they were using Epic engine which stream HD texture in real time. I have already been confirmed, if games dont look better or even on the PS3 when compare to the 360; blame the unskilled programmers and art directors. These ppl need to go back to school and re-learn
Oh would you people be quiet about Gears grpahics! The PS3 can do the same, if not, better graphics. Just look at unreal tournament. Now who objects??? Didn't think so. This forum is about FF13 not gears so keep it that way.
