Poll: What Would You Want To See in The Last of Us 2?

The Last of Us 2 was not quite confirmed by voice actor Troy Baker, and although a sequel to the hit PlayStation exclusive still remains little more than a rumor one question is on the mind of the GameSpot community.

Would you rather see The Last of Us 2 continue Joel and Ellie's story, or would you prefer to play as a completely new protagonist?

I will take either, I'm indifferent.

I will take whatever the masterminds at Naughty Dog give me, I have no preference.

I think original is to short. The Last of Us 2 needs to be atlast 100 hours long

A multiplayer mode where you not only have to face humans you have to face the infected that are ai.

last of us 2&3 must be there Joel & Ellie but u have must also add new characters and take back Joel & Ellie -specially joel cuz he become older- from the scene slightly till they vanished BUT dont do it AS resident evil, too much characters in the same time and the same basic story.

u can also do the new characters add them as DLC -an extra after we play them inside the primary story - for more fun and staying at the players memory -THE STORY MUST BE DAMN GOOD FOR EACH- for the future of the series of the last of us.

@GameSpot: i would like them to do a good game, i don't really care how they tell it

I'd be fine if the game never got a sequel. But if it does, use different characters and tell a different story than dragging out one that is fine left alone where it concluded in the first game. Either way, I just can't see myself being nearly as amazed at a sequel than I was with the original game. And I say that mainly because The Last of Us took me by surprise. I loved pretty much everything about the game. I just can't see my experience with it being replicated. Maybe a greedy reason to not want a sequel, but there you go.

If they make a new one I would like a new story. A different part of the country or a different country altogether, with new characters.

i would like to have a new story, because the way they ended the previous story was perfect, with so many doubts . a part of me thinks that it should stay that way, but i think they will make a sequel after all.

i was happy enough with the ending of the first one.i think if the second one comes out it should be a new story with different characters

these games have the ability to be set and played on a large scale so why restrict it to just one core group of characters

I have the same opinion as you. I've been gaming since the NES days. Few games have caught me off guard. The Last of Us is one of the very few.
