Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?

In recent years Call of Duty has been a popular multiplayer experience with lots of killstreaks, perks and customization to build ona lengthy experience in the online community, however batttlefield bad company series changed peoples minds and diverted people away from call of duty and is regarded as a better game than call of duty, this year offers again the competition between the games again as they will go head to head later on this year. So which game will you be picking up? For me at the moment it looks like Battlefield 3 will be the game, it looks incredible for a first glimpse.

I personally will be picking up both titles. They are two very different games and I really enjoyed playing their previous installments.

after doing a self intervention after blops i'll never by a cod game again, that experience made me understand the difference of being pimped and what a good game ( bc2 ) is, it's simple, if you want quality get bf3, if you enjoy playing the role of sucker it's cod, now back to tc's question, hands down bf3

Honestly, I have always thought since Battlefield 1942 that they were far more entertaining than any MW game. Of course, it's only gonna make B3 even better this round since they'll actually have a singleplayer campaign, very good stuff coming!

I have yet to buy a COD game new, I get them cheap and used.

Battlefield 3 for sure. I've never played BF before and it's time I tried something different besides COD.

I'm just sick of COD, it has the same core gameplay every year with no major differences.

I'm really getting sick of the COD cycle too...

1. OMG the new COD looks amazing!
2. This COD game is the best game EVAR
3. This game sucks! So many nooby things!
4. Did you see the new trailer for the new COD game? Looks so much better than the current COD game! The current developers suck and the developers are SOOO much better!

Well after seeing a recent gameplay movie for Battlefield 3 ( ;) ) , I favour Battlefield 3 for multiplayer. It thankfully doesn't look anything like Bad Company 1 or 2.Unless of course all the hackers and cheats are banned from PSN by the time Modern Warfare 3 is released, which I just can't see happening :P

Battlefield 3 looks amazing, Blops was my least favorite CoD and I only played the multi for about two weeks.

Both. Not decided on which system to get each game on yet but loved Battlefield 2 on the PC & BF:BC 2on PS3

The most important question is how many other versions of this thread will appear between now & November?

The lack of CoD support worries me. CoD serves as a filter for the gaming community. Most of the obnoxious players and annoying kids can be found playing CoD, leaving the communities of other games much better off. Without a successful CoD, I think we'll be seeing the communities of other games (especially FPS) decline. dk00111

this is a joke topic to me lol, even though i never bought neither of the B.C games, i did play them. and by far B.C 3 is the way to go. mw3 will suck, will have hackers/glitchers w.e u want to call em. and eventually after 2 to 3 months ull have this forum flooded with ppl hating on it. i mean its not rocket science, COD games been going downhill after cod4JoKeR_421

Isn't it ironic that the best selling games usually get all the hate? If there was no such thing as CoD, people would be claiming they hate the BF series right now yet still playing it because it's their guilty pleasure.Peanutbutterz

No not at all. People would still love battlefield because it actually brings something new to the table with each release. The same can't be said about COD.

Battlefield 3 for myself personally.

Unless some of the changed are being made to Modern Warfare 3, which I highly doubt will happen, it will be another rent.

Despite short campaign, which was excellent with superb multiplayer, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the only copy I enjoyed and purchased in the series.

I'm literally sick and tired of the CoD franchise......something needs to change. It's starting to get the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero feel to it.bblundell

Thinking the same thing. Im just glad i didnt give them my money for the big POS COD BO. So Battlefield 3 for sure.

Hopefully Battlefield is awesome and has Sharpshooter support. If it has Sharpshooter Support, I'm definitely picking it up of COD.

Both the COD and battlefield series offers a different multiplayer experience.

Battlefield focuses on larger maps, support classes, and squad based team work

COD focuses on closer, high octante, arcade like action.

Because of this, its really hard to say one series is better than the other, as each series is going to attract gamers who have a different taste, or who are looking for that type of gameplay specificially.

Personally, I like both game series and will continue to support both as long as they maintain the high level of quality they are known for.

Modern Warfare 3. No contest.

If Battlefield 3 is anything like Bad Company 2 then no thanks.
