Kojima : MGS4 wont be coming out on the 360

this IS bump worthy. i just cant understand why xbox er's wont just buy a ps3 if they want it so bad. if i wanted halo 3 i would buy a 360. but since i dont i wontcoolasj19

Because right now not many people want to spend $250, $400, or $600 for a console just because they want one game that is going to be on it. Right now the only PS3 game I really would want is Metal Gear Solid 4 and the only Wii game I would want is Fire Emblem 10. Both of those series are my favorites but I don't want to buy a console just for them. If it wasn't for my friends on Xbox Live, I wouldn't have wanted to buy a 360 for awhile either.

I know that some people would, if I had the money I would. But I don't think that the majority of people will do that.

Just kidding but I think it is interesting that his comment about why it wont die is because "they want it on their console."  Kojima knows there is some market for this game outside the PS3.  What interests me as a spectator to this console war is that he is not capitalizing on that opportunity market due either to technological restraints (as it seems through his theatre comment) or because of past ports performing poorly.

And that does not mean...Konami can not override that decision now. You act like Kojima himself has to be incharge of it. Do I really need to bring up RE4? Another team could do it.

It all comes down to one thing. Who owns the intellectual property rights to "Metal Gear Solid". Kojima or Konami. Remember...Kojima productions was only made in 2005 if I am not mistaken^^ And not to mention wasn't Kojima productions even put together by Konami for the sole purpose of just making Kojima more efficient at creating games? Who do you think owns everything he does? And it comes down to...Who owns the intellectual property rights of the MGS series? If I am not mistaken but isn't that trademarked under Konami?

All I am saying is...This could just become another RE4.

LOL...I'm one of those people. If it wasn't for Gears of War, I would not have a 360. Some people find it hard to believe that I wouldn't buy a 360 for halo. Halo was cool, but Gears is the game that broke me down!!!

Kojima owns the MGS title as a whole. And Sony has stocks in the the company and is helping with their movie, or so I've heard.

Anyway whats the entire Re4 thing you're talking about. I bought RE4 for the GC, so I wouldn't know about anything with the PS2 port.
