No it's not true. Those ready to kick into the "Next-Gen" of gaming might just get a Wii or 360 if they drop the price. Most casual gamers just don't want to spend $600 on a gaming maching no matter what it can do.

No it's not true. Those ready to kick into the "Next-Gen" of gaming might just get a Wii or 360 if they drop the price. Most casual gamers just don't want to spend $600 on a gaming maching no matter what it can do.

Im not worried at all because blu-ray is getting stronger every month. Once HD-DVD is dead then the PS3 is gonna sell way more. There's still people who think HD-DVD is going to win...

Europe hasn't soldout its pre-orders mainly because the number of units in the european launch is way more than what North America and Japan had, and if you think America makes or breaks a console, you obviously didn't see the sales figures for the PS2 worldwide. I honestly can't believe you're judging a console thats been out for a few months? Wait a year or 2 and then we'll see if you can make your ignorant remarks again.

50% of ps3 customers have purchased atleast 2 BD movies.

It is just because of them HD_DVD is now dead in AUSTRALIA( retailers have completely pulled the plug there).

same goes to UK and JAPAN(adoption rate of 95% for BD)

BD standalone player outsells HD-DVD player currently 20 k :13k

I purchased ps3 because of Blue-ray and also 360 was too expensive with a 5$ dvd drive..50$ yearly subscription fee + less powerful.

I really liked CASINO ROYALE on BD (currently no8 on AMAZON's top chart).

I have XMEN 3 as well.

Being a troll it hurts some people to see that ps3 is doing well both as BD player and as a console.

Come march 23rd ...........some of them might even commit suicide.

over 50% of UK consumers are buying ps3 just because of CASINO ROYALE ( the movie earned over 200 million $ in UK alone).

Why would i pay 400$ for  a watered down console with old techs when i can get a 1000$ bd drive + MOTORSTORM (true nextgen) +free online + CELL +wifi +HDMI for  $600.

Agreed, 600+ Tax might hurta little bit, and the lack of games to come out on PS3 hurts tooMASTERCHIEFUSMA

they would lower price but not at the moment.......

ps3 would be reduced to 300$ when x360 wd cost 100$.

thts how people perceive ps3 to be........a much superior product with immaculate quality and supercomputer like ability.

SONY is in no need to cut price. PS3 is doing good in MARCH due to MOTORSTORM and EU launch would be much bigger than anticipated since around 36 titles would be made available which includes F1,VF5, RESISTANCE, OBLIVION etc
