How long can I run my PS3 before trouble starts?

I'm playing Ratchet & Clank and trying to get 150,000 bolts. I've managed to get on to a loop where I get some bolts every few seconds, but it's literally going to take me hours to get them. I might have to leave the PS3 running over night. Will this damage my system or game?

I've never had an issue with leaving my PS3 on for very long periods. Completed a few 24hr endurance races in GT5. As long as there is ample airflow to keep it reasonably cool, you should be fine. How old is the machine?

i have an old 80gb 2 port fat system and iv left it on for 24 hours multiple times. Its still running fine.

I left mine on for more then 20 hours before, though why not just save? Fightingfan

it will be fine, my brother used to keep his ps3 on for weeks at a time while going thro a game.. and just pausing it when he wanted to stop...

Ill never understand why he didnt just save it... but oh well ...:)
