How great is the ps3?

The Ps3 is the greatest system in the world, i mean it's almost like a pc. Great multiplayer, free online and the best graphics on any console. The games blow my mind. I'm downloading ps1 games which is an awsome feature. How great is the ps3 to you?

It's okay. It's not like it calls me to hang out, I have to do everything in the relationship, including buy it stuff. Believe it or not, it's very controlling.

Well... 1. It has free online access which makes it useful for people who don't have much money. 2. A good load of memory space, but not as big or as efficient as the 360. 3. An insane amount of graphics, even better graphics than that of a 360, UNLESS your ps3 model is an olld one. All in all, i say its pretty damn good. 10/10.Runescaperz

Um all consoles regardless of model have their hardware restricted, the 45nm cell is theoretically more powerful than the 90 or 65 but has a lock in place, this is similar to the 360 slim which has the combined 45nm CPU/GPU that is more powerful than the old versions but has a lock on it. If two consoles have different graphic capabilities, suddenly game developers will have to cater to them as well, which they wont as the one thing that keeps consoles apart from PC's is their fixed hardware.

I would disagree. I got a ps3 the 2nd or 3rd day it came out, and i had ok graphics. When i saw my friend get a ps3 like 3 months later, it had a better HD chip or whatever makes it get better graphics. The difference was noticeable.Runescaperz

There is a difference between 'graphics' and display. Your friends PS3 probably had different settings in the XMB, such as full colour saturation or a different resolution settings. TV's can also make a difference, some may have a better contrast ratio or colour range.

I hardly ever used my ps3 until certain (hacking) events occured at the beginning of the year.

Its good, so far... Games seem fine everything works so yeah i like my PS3. But jeez never compare it to a PC or you'll get the elitists coming knocking at your door for comparing an inferior mogul gaming system to the PC[insert image of a PC floating in the clouds with a halo on it].

I play my ps3 more than any other console I own.

As far as consoles go its pretty cool but on the downside publishers and developers have to jump through the hoops of thecorporation who made the console to make games. where as with a pc you can play indie games and anyone reall can make a game for it. I dont own a pc but id love to. With a major console (not wii)and a pc you wouldnt miss out on much.

Its pretty much the same as 360, i had a 360 since 06 and i ended up buying a ps3 when i had to send my 360 in for the 4th time. i personally like the exclusives alot more the 360's plus havin the blu ray is awesome!

Well, PC is miles behind, it does not have anything looking or playing like Uncghrted 2,noone cares for PC when has zero games like Uncharted 2 that isthe best game ever created

PS4and Uncharted 3 will make sure PCstops beeing a gaming system

I WOULD be great if Sony didn't sandbag the thing at every chance.

It still feels like an expensive box full of untapped potential that will just go to waste. It's like having a really nice expensive sports car that doesn't shift out of first.

I hate it, but not as much as I hate the 360. At least I'm not afraid of my ps3 melting.

That's probably the best thing I can say about it.... unless sony decides to give it some half decent support.
