This year is going to be quite tough the way I see it. There are a few contenders for game of the year. In your opinion, which do you think will take the cake? I think its a close tie between Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
Unless Uncharted 2 or Ratchet & Clank Future A Crack in Time exceeds my expectations, Batman Arkham Asylum will hold steadily as my GOTY in 2009. Though I think Uncharted 2 has a probable chance of entertaining me enough to change my mind. Only game this gen so far that made me put an inordinant amount of time into it's online is MGO. So as long as Uncharted 2 can do that for me it will overshadow even Batman. Because for me it's rare to find enough depth in an online game to make me that happy over it. Seriously if it wasn't for MGO I would've thought twice about keeping MGS4 as my GOTY in 2008. Especially with Prince of Persia GTA4, Bioshock & Little Big Planet seducing me. I LOVE MGO

It will probably end up being Uncharted 2 for critics and such. For me personally I expect it to be Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, but I'm sure I'm a minority there.
I tell ya, MW2 has some of the biggest tools that I have ever seen for a game in gaming history. It isnt the "end all of be all" for games, let alone fps's. They even have some catching up to do with KZ2 before I crown them game of the year. wtf man. Get off of MW2'S jock.

Modern warfare 2 will probably blow it out of the water in terms of multiplayer (probably) but multiplayer isnt everything and from what Ive heard uncharted's multiplayer isnt too shabby. So put in a good multiplayer, and incredible story with incredible voice actors and incredible graphics and you've got GOTY 2009

If it has to be between a game that I have actually PLAYED (lmfao at you MW2 tools), it would be between Batman and KZ2. And from the looks of the beta, and the review on ign, it could even be uncharted 2.

UNCHARTED 2
'Gold' means that the game is finished and being manafactured/sent out. Hannah Montana once went gold, so did Lair, Haze and every other game.
I bet Uncharted 2 would be a good contender, and personally I'm waiting for that and Brutal Legend.... ... and Ratchet and Clank... I'll just wait till the end of the year to pick my GOTY. :P

The topic is what do I think will be the GOTY. Call of Duty 4 is better than Killzone 2 and that game is 2 years old. So please grow up and quit trying to be an internet tough guy.
I'll probably choose Borderlands as my GotY, but most sites and magazines will probably chose Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Only God knows why they'd want to pick it though.

The games coming out this year that I believe have the most chance to usurp my number one are Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend. I'm also looking forward to Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Assassin's Creed II, the God of War Collection, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Borderlands.
Uncharted 2 more than likely. I think Modern warfare 2 is going to be amazing but I think its just being a little overhyped. Its still going to be awesome but I think Uncharted will win.
theres alot to be honest with u.....but at the moment even though not alot of ppl agree BATMAN: Arkham Asylum is the best game so far i played this year. besides killzone and infamous and all the other good games that where out, but batman won my vote for now
