Hey I'm new to this part of Gamespot, I just signed up. I was wondering, I recently bought the new DBZ: Ultimate Tenkaichi for PS3, and wasn't very impressed. I thought the fighting style just wasn't that engrossing as earlier DBZ games, though it was visually entertaining. The reason I bought it was because I had an unreal craving for a game like the old Budokai Tenkaichi games for the PS2, which I don't have anymore. What were your thoughts on the game, and what DBZ game, if there is one, would I most enjoy for a "Budokai Tenkaichi experience". Thanks a ton in advance!

It's basically a game of rock, paper, scissors.

If you don't have DBZ : Raging Blast 2, get it.

DBZ Budokai 3 is still the best DBZ game to date. Nothing else has come close.

Get Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit. The only good Dragon Ball game this gen, probably.

The only one I played this gen was Raging Blast, which I really liked.. I watched some footage of Raging Blast 2, and it looked even better, with a bigger roster.. But yeah, if you want a really good fighting game, definitely look elsewhere than the dragon ball games, but if you want a fun db game, the raging blast ones are good.

I managed to get DBZ: RB 2 for little to nothing the other day, and I'm already much more impressed. It's fun, fast paced, and there's a lot of neat combo's. It's refreshing to see a Tenkaichi related game on the new gen.

I don't see how anyone could say UT was the best thus far this gen.

I never got BT3 but I do have BT2 and that game is phenomenal.

Second. The only thing that i didnt like but understood was that you couldnt get to SSJ4. Though you could get goku and go up to SSJ3 which was pretty awesome. I guess the only bad part is that even if you were SSJ4 Gogeta, Hercules could still beat you by spamming his cheap move over and over. Most new DBZ games seem to focus only on how many characters there are and how cool the specials are. I really dont need the whole Ginyu force and specials should really be built up and mean something when you unleash them.

That's the worst advice ever. Dude, you should get Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the PS2. It is the best DBZ game on the market.

I found my old PS2 in the basement, and it works! On another note, I haven't been able to find any of the budokai tenkaichi games at any retailers lately. Probably just a run of bad luck, but im still keeping an eye out

your best bet is Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit for a game like the original Budokai games and Dragon Ball Raging Blast for a game like Budokai Tenkaichi (or RB2 but RB2 doesn't have a story mode but does have a animated special included)

but i do agree Ultimate Tenkaichi was a hugedisappointmentjust glad it was spikes last DBZ ame it's about time someone new had a go
