Not for just one game, but the games that tipped me to the PS3, were FFv13 (was looking forward to this one before FF13), White Knight Chronicles, Uncharted.
No, I knew that the PS3 would have great games and since I figured the Wii would be more child friendly then anything and I don't like Xbox, Ps3 feel natural to me, that and I've basically had 3 other sony consoles before it. I did however wait until Grand Theft Auto 4 came out before I bought one which came with Uncharted.
I didn't get my PS3 for just one game as much as I got it for a series. Most of the exclusives I could've lived without this gen or got when they were much cheaper...except for MLB The Show. I'm a huge baseball fan and the 2K series does not cut it for me. The other games I play on my PS3 are just a bonus. I'm here for amazing, realistic baseball.
I just bought one for the exclusives =D All my multi-platformers go to the 360, mostly just because i have more friends on there and the community is better.
To be honest I bought a PS3 to play Disgaea 3 because I'm a rabid fan of the franchise. However, there are a whole bunch of other games I wanted afterwards ( i.e. MGS4, GTA4. LBP, etc) so I guess that would legitimize my reasoning in buying my console.
Well I havent bought it yet, but I plan to. But either way I would have bought it right away because I am indeed a Sony Fanboy. Almost everythin I own is all Sony electronics
No, i bought a PS3 coz i've been a Playstation gamer over the years... i got plenty of reasons why... and one of them is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
I bought the ps3 for exclusives only... i have 7 and soon to be 8 with killzone... i have a xbox 360 which ive owned longer than the ps3 and i only own that for the call of duty series and my friends all have an xbox
Did I get a PS3 for one game? No, I got it for a lot of games, and my pocket book is aching and for the first time in my life I think I'm creating a monster of a backlog.
It was the same thing with the PS2, by the time I got it, I was a little late to the party and there was quite a large library of games to be had. I justified my off the wall purchases by the fact that their prices had dropped since release.
Well I kind of did when to 60 gig came out I put off buying it cause their were no games i liked so I was waiting for GTA4 to come out and im glad i waited cause the 80 gig came out just before GTA4 came out, so now I have the 80 gig cause i waited
My 360 rrod'd and then microsoft got me on some loophole that somehwo made my warrenty valid, so i bought a ps3, which i wanted in the first place but i couldent affored at the time. There were some games that influenced my decision like disgaea 3 and whatever team ICO is working on. Also i much vastly perfer the controllers.
Yes because I knew one day I would get Tekken 6. Although T6 is not exclusive, I cant see myself playing Tekken on anything other than a sony system. Im too used to the controller.
Nope I wanted it because it played games, streamed videos from pc (better than any other device including sling boxes imo), played blue-rays, had blue-tooth controllers, etc.. and it would compliment my pc nicely.
I did it for MGS4, GoW3, future EA Sports games, Resistance, GTA games, FF games( although now theyre not exclusive :P ), the next game by the Shadow of the COlossus creators, and..well..ya. I bought it for future games, the 360 didnt interest me, and still doesnt. I do have all 3 consoles though now.
