Which games do you think have the best stories for PS3?
I really liked GTAIV, you really start to feel for Niko through the story.

I actually hated aspectsGTAIVs story. Niko was a good charactor but the story was predictable, and seemed more like running missions for money (which just stockpiles because there is nothing to spend it on). Niko was a good charactor though, and his backstory was fairly interesting. I'd give the story a 6/10.Which games do you think have the best stories for PS3?

Since the "game" is all about the story, I think it's easily Heavy Rain. That'd be enjoyable just to watch on YouTube.

I hated the story for personal reasons, Niko was a Serb, and during the war they mention in the game, the Serbs committed genocide against the Muslim population of Bosnia.[QUOTE="full_on_gamer"]

Indeed, GTA4's story was crap.
I loved MGS4's and FFXIII's stories, as they're both convoluted all to hell, just how I like 'em.
I actually disliked GTA IV's story. For 3/4 the only thing Niko cares about is "the money". Not very interesting if you ask me. Dragon Age and Valkyria Chronicles would be my two favourites.Which games do you think have the best stories for PS3?

Some of my favorites (in no order):
- GTA IV
- Red Dead Redemption (not done with it, but good so far)
- Final Fantasy XIII (not done with it, but good so far)
- Batman Arkham Asylum

All of the above. Assassins Creed story arc over the two parts
I thought Infamous had a good story with loads of potential for sequels.
My Favourite storyline at the moment in any game is Crysis it has a really confusing story much like the tv show LOST inflicting all these twists in a plot against you and never giving you answers.
MGS4, FF13, Uncharted 1&2 and Assassin's Creed 1&2, best stories so far this gen IMO. Red Dead so far is pretty good, which is saying something for a R* game, since I find their stories in games a bit stale.
Honorable mentions go to inFamous, Resistance, Oblivion, Eternal Sonata and Folklore. :P
People should probably stop saying Uncharted 2, the story itself wasn't that great, it was just told in a great way.
I say Heavy Rain, whilst not the best story it is told really well and the fact that you are involved in it keeps you immersed and emotionally tied to the characters. One of the greatest gaming experiences to date in my opinion.
I agree with you, I like the way it's told but why in god's name would anybody pick Uncharted 2? or hell even the first even though they both have cool stories that a kinda identical. I know everyone has their own opinions but.. common.People should probably stop saying Uncharted 2, the story itself wasn't that great, it was just told in a great way.

And MGS4, which beats the crap out of everything out of that list. Convoluted maybe, but that's what I love! A game you can get emotionally attached to.Some of my favorites (in no order):

- Heavenly Sword
- The Darkness

Assassin's Creed 1&2, Dead Space, Heavy Rain, MGS4, Infamous, Resistance 1&2, Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2.
People say Uncharted 2 because the storyline/characters are memorable. Is it the most original thing in the world? Not at all, but even Indiana Jones movies didn't have character arcs quite like the ones presented in Uncharted 2. The only people that ever betrayed Indy die a few seconds later (Like Alfred Molina in Raiders of the Lost Ark), but Nathan Drake gets shafted several times in the course of that series. The storyline isn't original, but the writing between characters and the pacing is something definitely worth a mention when it comes to great stories.
Finally, Killzone 2's second half is done superbly well to the point where it makes the rest of the game's story pick up. While it seems so lackluster at the beginning you realize it's because you're really playing from Sev's perspective. He's just a soldier who doesn't know why he's fighting, just obeying orders and taking names. Near the end, where your actions start to matter, you see how the tide of war can change, the emotions between friends when mistakes are made, and the Helghast seeming not so evil anymore when you start learning a little more about them. Yeah, it seems like a thrown together story, but when you actually put thought into settings and actions (instead of spoken words) it becomes a lot better. It's like, but not near the degree of, Half Life 2. While they don't come out and tell you anything, if you actually look around you you'll learn what's happening. Especially when you ask yourself "Hey, why is the ocean missing?"
Wow... sorry for all that writing. Stories are important to me, so yeah.
