Are there Trophies you gave up on getting?

Are there any Trophies that are so hard or unattainable that you just gave up trying to get them?

I tried getting all for Resistance 2, RagDoll KungFu, and Critter Crunch but I just stop trying. I know there's a few more but I can't remember right now.

I gave up trying Killzone 2 on Elite, and be in the top 1% of the week online. And gave up some on FIFA 09 like score with a diving header and buy 50 players on the manager mode.

Warhawk, SOCOM, PAIN, Wipeout HD, GTA4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

I've kind of given up on trophies altogether. It only makes me feel bad about myself when I realize that I've been a gamer my whole entire life but now, I just don't have time to play games and probably won't fora while. I have to sit and see other people's trophy count go up and up while the only thing going up with my console is my collection of games I bought but haven't had time to get around to finishing (or even playing).

But to answer your question more directly, unless I can get a trophy by playing a game normally, in single player, I've given up on them. I will generall play games more than once (eventually) if i like them. But if I have to do something impossible, that relies almost entirely on luck to pull off, or have to rely on other people (espeically online) then I just can't bother with it.

I got the Mirrors Edge Platinum, I loved the game and never thought twice about not finishing it, even though the Chapter 2 speedrun was a pain in the ass, the rest were quite easy. I have to say though, that Killzone 2 is a game i won't be going back to anytime soon because being in the top 1% of players is way too time consuming. Also, Red Faction: Guerrilla has too many trophies like "Destroy all 250 EDF Crates" or "Mine all 300 Ore Locations" for me too go back any time soon.

Yeah the story level speed runs are probably the hardest challenges ever. On the Jackknife level the game pretty much demands 10 minute+ of perfection from the player.

I could probably have done it. But there are too many games to play right now. Maybe some time in the future.

Killzone 2 on Elite and complete all Team Missions in NG Sigma 2. To hell with that.Floppy_Jim

Several Warhawk trophies...a couple GTA4 trophies.

Arkham Asylum fighting challenges on extreme, they piss me off so much, other than that all MW2 trophies, since I suck at FPS.

A friend of mine is at 94% ( I think that was right) in warhawk. He has to get the "all in game medals earned" trophy or something and then he will get the platinum for Warhawk.

GTA4 (all the online stuff)

Killzone 2 (all online and some single player, i just lost interest in the game)

Wipeout HD (Zone stuff and the Elite Campaign... i have the rest)

WaW campaign on Veteran, the random nade kills just got too annoying and Warhawk is ridiculous. Just got WipeOut HD and working on MW2. MW2 isn't too bad.

The one in MW2 for all 69 Spec Op stars I mean it's probably easy to some but i mean its hard to get a friend to just jump in with you and get all 69 but if i ever do get all 69 i'll have my first platinum lol

I was going to give up on Demon's Souls plat but then I killed a gecko and got the pure moonlightstone that I needed =).

The only trophies I really gave up were Resistance's 2, I got bored with the game and never looked back.

The 10000 killsfor resistance 2 . And the arcade perfect on Wipeout HD . Street Fighter 4 trophies .

Mirror's edge trophies requires you to be either wunderkid or totally dumb to keep trying for months (at least I really sucked in time trials and understood it within few hours of trying already)

and the most disappointing trophy definitely is "soldier of misfortune" in Farcry 2. Every time I got a really good match some kind of network errors happened (either got kicked out of the game = no stats saved = or simply the damn UbiSoft servers didn't saved my stats after the match). That's very annoying if the trophy requires a lot of explosive multiple kills which doesn't get saved in your stats because of the bad servers of UbiSoft. The only trophy as much annoying might be the one for winning all the multiplayer races in GTA4 (the same problem with servers)

Resistance was really fun and the easiest platinum after Terminator: Salvation and Wanted: WOF.

And actually Resistance and Battlefield: Bad company are the only truly fun shooters to play online (Call of duty of any kind is simply dumb:)). Just remebered - I wasn't able to get trophy for achieving all the awards in Battlefield: Bad company. My heli pilot skills was close to round and shiny zero and some other awards also were humanly impossible in my opinion.

I normally try and get whatever trophies I can, except for some ridiculous online ones (Resistence 2, Killzone 2).
