I was wondering which are the most expensive games on the PS2 and also the real rare games also. Im gonna start collecting the really expensive ones off of amazon. Any help would be appreciated.
I would say that Manhunt might be in several years because all the controversey that surrounded it. I'm sure it's cheap now, but maybe in a few years it will be rare. Just a guess.
shin megami tensei nocturne and shin megami tensei digital devil saga one. go to ebay to see their prices.  they reissued disgaea hour of darkness so its not rare anymore, its being sold for $30 and i saw a new copy of Ico and my local gamestop last time i was there, which was in january

Rez isn't that rare, I found it new the other day for $49.99cdn without even looking. Its uncommon at most.
I have a copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 that I bought from the EB that I work at;Â terrible condition, but it still works and the book was with it so why not for 30 bucks canadian.

indeed, disgea WAS rare but as mentioned its been reissued and beeing sold for cheap... might go get a copy myself... umm im suprised noone mentioned CULDCEPT! i loved that game... was never able to buy a copy though.

It took me a while to find a copy of Psychonauts, so i have to agree with you there. Im pretty sure the Shin Megami Tensai games are probably the most expensive if not the rarest games for PS2.

Lol. You're an idiot. There was a copy of Psychonauts in the ebgames I work at a little while ago, I never ended up picking it up, but did think about it. Tekken Tag Tournament isn't that rare. I see it come and go quite often. In fact theres probably a copy or two lingering at the moment. Dark Cloud 2 is uncommon, I've only seen it once or twice since working there. Ico is also fairly rare, but not worth a whole bunch of cash.
I got Ico, and I loved it. It was very different kind of action adventure. Who wouldn't want to be a 12 year old kid with horns? :-) However, when I got it, there was like 3 or 4 used Ico games. I'm kinda disappointed to see that the game was slightly underappreiated. The only problem I had with that game is Yorda tagging along...it can get slightly annoying, and not enough enemies. There's pretty much only two throughout the whole game. But the graphics and music is amazing. :-)

   DDR Max and DDR Max 2 - are you kidding me? I found quite a lot of used ones at my local EB Games. I have both of them. People would buy them, then get rid of them for the next edition of DDR. Hell, I'm not even that good, but I still like it as it keeps my butt off the couch for once.
Vampire Night. It's a light-gun shooter. Check Ebay and it's very rare and sells for $60 easily, and that's WITHOUT any guns. Just the game. And it's used.

we love katamari can be found for like 40$ new or 30$ used in canada ... and disgaea 1 is being reshipped so its like 40$ NEW.. ROFL i would consider marvel vs capcom2 rare, valkyrie profile, xenogears and basically my wish list games are pretty rare but the RAREST is SMT NOCTURNE. this game is freakin extinct.
I've created a wiki to list all the Rare PS2 games, accesories, and consoles. Check it out add any rare games you have, all I saw on the web was lists on forums, I figured this would be more efficient.
I scored a copy of Marvel vs Capcom on Trademe(New Zealand EBay site) for $120, which is the same price for a brand new PS3 game, if that gives you any idea. It's worth every cent too. I bought an old Genesis/Megadrive game called Shining Force off the same site for $160. I dunno how much that is in US dollars but again i'd pay that for it any day. Imagine how much these are gunna be worth in 10 years or so.
