I am on my third PlayStation2, and my sixth PlayStation product overall. First PS1: DOA. 2nd PS1: wrecked at least half of my game library at the time before finally bricking out on me. 3rd PS1: made it impossible for me to use a Gameshark pro, but still mostly worked for a few years. First PS2: DRE's out the ass! Was just lucky to be able to sell it off (needed to pay off a ticket :( ). 2nd PS2: Bought this one much later... and yet all the same problems the first ps2 gave me returned full force. Wrecked a ton of my game disks as well... this was when I finally said "enough was enough" and chose to go modded. 3rd PS2: My first modchipped console. And yet strangely enough, has been uber reliable by comparison.
3... 1st Playstation that my maid took the (thing that changes the voltage from 220v->110v) off... 2nd a PSOne that i sold w/ 80 games... and now a slim ps2...
buying a new gaming pc this week and keep it till 360 drops to US$300
2nd one, The first one I bought as a bundel with Grand turismo 3, lasted a while but eventully would only read blue bottom discs, so now I'm on my 2nd which is the slim one hasen't failed me yet 2yrs and going strong :)
Well two, but the first one didn't break I traded it in when I was a lot younger, then about 3/4 years ago my cousin got a silm ps2 for gran turismo 4, didn't like it, so I bought it off him. In between the PS2 consoles, I had a xbox as well.
I'm on my first one. There was even a time I accidentally splattered Gatorade on it and the contents seeped into the vents. It still works like it was brand new though.
My first one had problems reading the disks few months back so I bought 2 sliver slim ones...The limited edition sliver slim version looks nice and also has a fan inside, so I thought "What the hell, I'll just get two!"

im on the first, and its just now starting to go bad, ive had it since 7 months after it came out. and the only thing wrong is i need to tap on it(hard sometimes) to get the disc tray to come out, but it still works fine.
still on my first, but i've had problems with it. a few times i had trouble with dvds where it would stop and bring up some screen about inserting a format disc. this happening on dvds that i played plenty of times with no problem on the same system. it's not from moving it around, i've only unplugged the system two or three times since i bought it when it came out.
