A first person Diablo with guns sounds awesome, and the multiplayer will be insanely addictive, although I'm a bit annoyed with the fact that you have to pay a fee to unlock all the multiplayer features.
My Top 3: -Stalker (totally thought it was gonna be another "Daikatana" catastrophe but it really shows a lot of potential) -Episode 2 -Crysis Others: -Assassin's Creed (the story sounds amazing, and your character can "parkour") -C&C 3 -World in Conflict -Sins of the Solar Empire (Homeworld 3, anyone?) -Witcher -Project Offset -Enemy in Sight (Operation Flashpoint-esque, but made by creators of Mafia) -Enemy Engaged 2

Just remember, Alan Wake is going to be a Vista-only release. That sorta ticks me off.
Crysis, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and all the games with it (Team Fortress 2, and Portal). I might pick up Halo 2 Vista because I got Vista and already have Halo 1. If Left 4 Dead comes out this year I'll get that too.
doesn't look like a good year, just a rehash of the last few. A few first person shooters. Some cookie cutter RTS. No good RPGs.... The only thing with promise is spore, but its a game that could either be really good or really bad. I used to like UT but they turn out to be games that die after 6-12 months and I like playing a FPS long term, like you can with Counter-Strike. Teamplay cal for it is empty. These singple player FPS games are boring and stupid, just like the summer horror movie... omg you walk around and see scary things and shoot them... inventive. Then with RPGs all we get is these bad action RPGs with no real role playing, like you had in Baldurs Gate... just first person shooters with more of a focus on storyline and a couple of choices. Oblivion is just a MMORPG without other players.... how is that fun? So taking this into account the good games coming out this year it seems are: Hellgate - depends on the multiplayer though... could be the next Deus Ex and that game was extremely good. If its a cookie cutter linear singleplayer like Diablo though it is a miss. Even there it could be good if its multiplayer is done well. Spore - they are actually doing something original.... wow. Warhammer Online - finally a pvp mmorpg.... now everyone can quit playing diablo 2 and Shadowbane.... oh wait its factional pvp and not guild vs guild... i guess that takes it off this list. I'm glad someone mentioned Sins of the Solar Empire.... Master of Orion 2 + homeworld battles = a winning experiance.
Spore that game is going to pretty much be all of the sim games rolled into one i cant wait.
What many people dont realize that its simearth + simlife + simcity + other ideas... which should make for a unique game. End all be all of the god games... What I would like to see: A good space sim like Tie Fighter.... wont happen A epic and dynamic RPG like Planescape Torment or Baldurs Gate 2.... NWN2 wasn't it, NWN1 wasn't it, KOTOR wasn't it.... will Mass Effect be it? Doubt it. A well done MMORPG like Shadowbane with player owned content and focus on guild vs guild.... wont happen.

Spore, Bioshock, Stranglehold, Hellgate: London, a few others im sure. Also, I don't think Alan Wake is coming out till 2008... at least by then more people will have the hardware to run it. :) I also doubt Star Trek: Online will be out this year, but im looking forward to that... Hopefully they don't screw it up.
The most anticipated game for me was WOW, Counter strike and F.E.A.R. this 3 games was really good and amazing. Maybe, I'm waiting for there expansions but I know it is too long and besides I'm still enjoying this game. :D
Call me crazy but I'm not anticipating any games this year...Maybe I'm just getting sick of gaming in general. I've played basically every fps worth mentioning in the last 4 or 5 years and countless rts's as well. I only got through 20 hours of oblivion before giving up...I guess I'm just looking for something a little different. Wii anyone?
