My first game ever was Zombie Ate My Neighbors on the SNES. My first PC game was Outlaw.Captain-SealZAMN, best SNES game ever.
I don't remember how old i was but the first game i played was: Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
I can't remember if it was Wolfenstein 3D or some old 'Red Baron' game. It was a LONG time ago... I think I was about 6 years old.tsb247
Now theres a blast from the past - Sun Tzu's aincient art of war - they also had a naval version but the name has faded into the blurry's confines of my memorydragon464
Ancient Art of War at Sea!!! That was even cooler than the original... Ancient Art of War in the Sky was cool as well... I loved the bombing runs!
"Reading all the threads, I must be one of the oldest gamers to still walk the earth . My very first PC game was Digger. Must have been 1983 if my calculations are right. I have played other games before that though (including Pong) but not on a personal computer. I have hardly missed a good title since then ." *Warpld*
I know the feeling... I remember digger (and later dig dug) as well... I started playing PC games around about 1982/83 when I was still very young... you remember those first XT's with the Herculas (and later CGA) monitors?? :)

You had your first PC in 1983???
You are the oldest guy with a PC that I know.
You must live in the US, right??? Because I had my first PC in 1996 and in my region there was no one with a PC, I was the only one.

I live in Bulgaria and the computer was at my mother's work :). I got my first PC at home in 1996, too :).
We got our first PC in 1987, (prior to that it was Atari or Pong). The first two games we had were King's Quest and Jet Fighter.
Damn am I old.
First game I ever played was a great game called "Catacomb" on the Tandy 1000 in my Dad's shop. I was like 6 at the time...took me so long to figure out how to work that thing and play a game. I didn't even know what a game was...just that it was FUN!!! I'm proud that my little 6 year-old self figured DOS out. There was also this great helicopter game that I played with a joystick. The joystick was literally a box...with a stick...and two buttons...good times.jackalv666
I still have a Tandy 1000 and a joystick like the one you mention. The Tandy 1000 works all right, but unfortunately, the joystick gave up the ghost about five years back. I occasionally boot up the Tandy to play certain games that I only have on 5 1/2 floppies, like the original Pirates! Though, to be truthful, I haven't started that computer up in about a year or two. And yeah, I was a self-taught DOS user at about the same age as you. I never thought one day I'd be proud of knowing DOS like the back of my hand before I was eight.
i remember playing that game at school recently! cant remember where tho..the first game i have ever played on a pc was this little 2d ski game.
the view is from above and you go down the hill avoiding trees and doing tricks, and eventually a yeti eats you

It's hard to say really. It would have to be a draw between Q-Bert or Pole Position for the Commodore 64. I'm going to say as far back as I can remember, it would have to be Q-Bert for the Commodore 64. Man that game ruled!:D
windows pinball

Those games don't count, it has to be a real game. Because, for example, you can play Tic Tac Toe with the paint program which is stupid.
