All the latest COD games are overrated imo. I have fun with em but they are not as amazing or groundbreaking as people make them out to be, very overrated imo.

Counterstrike Source. The zombie mod was the only thing i played that game for.

Bioshock i just can't play that game. The look of the gunz the sound of them are just horrible. I find it annoying has a stupid story and just plain weird.

I don't think anyone ever said that CoD 4 was groundbreaking...just fun which all of you admitted. 5 wasn't good at all and MW 2 is pretty decent but far from overrated, it scored 86/100, that's about right.

Overrated games:

HL 2, good game but let's be serious 96...

Bioshock, again 96, this is not a 96 game, more like 85 or so.

Oblivion, 94, without mods I wouldn't rate it higher than 55, with mods, no more than 75.

Both high quality shooters, but niether is worth the praise they receive.

Assassins Creed. I don't know about II yet, but I won't try it for full price that's for sure.

I disagree with every one of your points. Those are my top favourite games, and they deserve above 90 (except Oblivion without mods) because of their innovation and creativity. HL2 allowed you to have a real connection and care for the characters, Bioshock had a really good setting, and Oblivion has so many mods the possibilities are endless. Though you're kind of right about Oblivion without mods, it sucked

That cool, rather pretentious game, had it's moments. But I don't think a short side scrolling puzzle game should merit such a high score. Same with Plants vs. Zombies. It's a fun time killer but is way over hyped. People have really **** standards for these simple kinds of games and overhype the few that don't suck.

GTA4 is over rated. Same old fedex missions as the last 5 games. Looks pretty though.

On second thought, the multiplayer in GTA4 is pretty awesome. Although my PC wasnt really upto snuff to run the game beautifully (read: bad port).

Also they make you jump through hoops to play the game. GFWL and Rockstar club? gimme a break.

Far Cry and Bioshock. Especially Bioshock.

Far Cy had a pretty lame story, terrible voice acting/characters, and a frustrating checkpoint system which made the game a lot harder than it should have been. The Enemy A.I was pretty good though, and the combat was decent, but it failed to rise above the level of generic for me (except for the graphics, which were excellent).

Bioshock just had really crappy shooting mechanics and repetitive level design, although the story was good and Rapture as a whole was pretty sweet. Had the devs worked on the Core game mechanics more, it would deserve the praise it gets, but while its an impressive experience, it fails as a video game (for me at least).

I only played it for about 1 hour and exchanged it with left 4 dead 2.

Just out of interest, what RTS's do you consider to be good? CoH and WiC are two of the best to have come out in the last 5 or so years!

Sure? I had the feeling that until World Of Warcraft the press was underrating the Blizzard games, since the scores from Starcraft, Warcraft II, Diablo II and Warcraft II were lower than 90 in a lot of magazines and sites. But, ironically, Starcraft, Diablo II and Warcraft III are still in the top 25 of most played online games, even 10 years after the shipment.

they are all great!

my choice is Halo. it's amazing how a simple shooter makes everyone crazy. they should've played Doom back in the days.
