So, I've been getting into PC gaming recently and I need a new PC that can handle this (not to mention my old laptop bit the dust). My old computer really couldn't handle the graphics on simple games like WoW so I need some help knowing what I'm looking for and maybe where I can find it.I looking for a Desktop for about $600-$800. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

If you go with iBuyPower's cheapest Core 2 base system ($529) and add 2gb of ram and change the video card to a GTX275, you'll have a really good system for ~$800.

EDIT: That is, customize their Core 2 system that starts at $529.

Sorry to disagree, but they only make good computers if you are one of the lucky few. I would highly recommend avadirect.com for prebuilt computers, and particularly this one, with some modifications: Scrolldown and change... Tower Cases Without Power Supply: to "COOLER MASTER CENTURION 5..." Power Supplies: to "CORSAIR, CMPSU-550VX Series Power Supply..." Socket AM2 Plus Phenom Motherboards: to "GIGABYTE, GA-MA78G-DS3HP..." Socket AM2 Desktop Processors: to "AMD, Atholon 64 X2 Dual-Core 7750 2.7GHZ..." PCI Express x16 Video Cards: to "SAPPHIRE, Radeon HD 4850 625Mhz, 512MB..." Operating System: to "MICROSOFT, Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition..." Total: $774 (maybe a bit more with shipping)
