I have just played Simon The Sorcerer 1 and 2, Broken Sword 1 and 2 and all the Monkey Islands. I have also played Sam And Max Hit The Road but never completed it. I want the kind of humor you get from these games. In fact, any games like these would be helpful. I heard King's Quest was good so I might try them out.

Gabriel Knight is very similar to Broken Sword in theme and styIe, although it's been a while since I played, so I can't vouch for the humour. Day of the Tentacle is a must play too, if you like LucAsarts adventures.

Yes, Day of the Tentacle is the obvious answer. Runaway was kind of funny, too, if I remember correctly.

I would prefer more of an adult sarcastic humor like Simon the Sorcerer. I know that's a bit specific. Maybe I am clutching at straws here

Oh yes, and Grim Fandango is well worth a look-in if you're looking for a Lucasarts adventure with some slightly darker humour.

I'd suggest the older Leisure Suit Larry games (certainly not any of the recent ones), but I'm guessing that's a very different kind of adult humour than what you're after.

Anyway, check out all three Sam and Max episodic seasons. They're all hilarious, they've frequently got clever sarcastic humour to them, and if you buy all three seasons together...it'd be something like 50 hours of gameplay for a relatively cheap price.

Also, Zork Grand Inquisitor just hit gog.com this week. It's not exactly 'dark' humour, but I'd be tempted to call it one of the funniest adventure games I've ever played.

Drat :P. I'll have a dig around a bit later and see what I can dredge up. For the moment, if you can forego the humour, I'd definitely recommend Syiberia and its sequel. They're both classics, story-wise, with some really well thought out puzzles to boot.

There are Beavis & Butthead Virtual Stupidity and B&B Do U, if you're a fan of the show.

I don't know if you're interested in flash games, but check out Johnny Rocketfingers 2 (skip the first). A pretty hilarious and satisfying point and click adventure.

How about the telltale versions of sam and max games. They're pretty good, some of them anyway.

I remember Stupid Invaders on the Dreamcast. I think it got a PC version too. Haven't played any since then.

You could try The Book of Unwritten Tales, it has a good sense of humour in it.
