Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Application Version 1.5!

Hey guys I just wrote a program that will build you an autoexe.cfg file for Crysis 2. This should help everybody here who wants some more advanced graphics options. :D

Downloads (version 1.4):

Megaupload

Requirements:
Crysis 2
.Net 2.0 or higher
Windows XP, Vista, or 7

Basic instructions:

1. Once you have unziped place anywhere you want.
2. Delete any autoexec.cfg files found in the Crysis 2 root folder. (if you're asking what that is, don't worry about it)
3. Delete any target commands you may have put on the shortcut as they will override the autoexec.cfg that is created
4. Run the Crysis2AdvancedGraphicsOptions.exe
5. Hit apply once all settings are set
6. If it's not working right, try running the program in administrator mode

EDIT: Version 1.5 is out!

Changes (Verison 1.5)
*added HDR brightness level
*added Bloom level
*skipped initial login by default
*possibly fixed the no-motion blur bugs
*creates a seperate autoexec.cfg file where you open the .exe file for more easy editing.

Changes (Version 1.4)
*added Shadows option
*added SSAO Option
*added color grading option
*added VSync option
*motion blur should now disable when set to disabled
*fixed some minor bugs

Changes (Version 1.3)
*fixed MSAA - should work now
*fixed crouch toggle - should work better
*added ability to change to preset low, medium, high

Changes
*added an option to toggle crouch
*should save a small ini file to eliminate repeated selecting of file locations
*displays root folder of Crysis 2 (so you know if you're on the right spot)

Wow, great job, thanks!! I don't have problems with the preset configuration but I do know a friend that's having issues running the game on extreme.

When I try to run it, it says "Can't find Crysis 2".

I posted my app for BC2 back when it came out that performed the same action as yours and you guys closed it saying it was advertising.

Nicely done, it's sad that you had to go through the trouble of making this thing just to adjust basic graphics options though.

One simple question:

Does your app adds anything to the graphics...than the "hardcore"(or whatever is called) mode on the Crysis 2 menu?

Iam guessing that on the "hardcore" mode "the Shaders" "Particles" "Textures" etc are already on high...

No I didn't. If you set everything to high, you'll max it out.

Go to your Crysis root folder and look for a file called autoexec.cfg. Doesn't sound like it's actually there.

No I didn't. If you set everything to high, you'll max it out.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. Weird that Crytek couldn't even implement a basic function like this.

Some of the AA options I believe are a bit higher. This is just for people who want to find a balance for their FPS with lower end cards.

What is everyoens favorite FoV?

I use 90 FOV.

Cool program, I like that I can skip the stupid movies when I start the game.

Can you tell me what the default Edge AA setting is for the game? Edge blurring or Edge AA?

Okay. I downloaded the new version you have up.

1. A message prompt shows up and ask to locate the file location of Crysis 2.

2. I click continue/ok and it brings up a directories window.

3. I click on any directory (C: or Electronic Arts or Crysis 2, doesn't matter) and then it brings up the program.

4. In the program, I select the settings to my preference.

5. I check the system config file in my Crysis 2 folder and nothing is changed, untouched.

6. So how will I know if this overrides my tweaks/configs?

7. Should I delete my tweaks/configs in the system config file first?

8. When I'm done with selecting the settings I want, and I click on apply, it's fine. I check the system config file and nothing has changed once again. But it's when I go to click "start game" an error message pops up and it will NOT start the game.

9. Not a real problem because I don't mind clicking the desktop Crysis shortcut icon I already have.

10. Does it require that I click on "start game" in order for these settings to take effect? If so, it's not possible on my end anyways because I keep getting that error.

Note: Keep in mind I already know my way around tweaks/configs. But this would be a convenient way of just turning things on and off. Just wanted to provide some feedback and get some questions answered. Thank you for your time.
