Hmm...
I think a better question to pose would be;
Would any of you care to be the one insuing this scenario/ willingly gift someone the item in question for the witnessing of a bird being killed.
As for the original question, there are too many loopholes, ie; a bird that was sick and or dying/ going to die soon anyway... Material posessions worth fortunes, survival, etc. Lots of factors to consider when coming up with a consensus.
I personally don't care enough to kill a bird to get something (other than contributing ambiguously to the death of my food). If someone had proposed the situation to me, and if the bird were just in good health, assuming that the item were of equal value to the scenario taking place ($50-$500ish), I'd probably just laugh and walk away from it.
And the truth is, I'm not a supersticious person, but I do believe that some things just shouldn't be tampered with. The dream girl scenario would probably eat me alive like an Edgar Alan Poe novel, and something more petty wouldn't be worth the effort.
Then again, video games and other like-valued material posessions aren't difficult for me to come by.
Edit: To further cast another light on this subject, birds in many cultures are very symbolic. Just something else to take into consideration.
My brother kills birds---large and small---for nothing other than peace and quiet.
Seriously, if a bird so much as tweets outside his bedroom window, he'll go out with his pellet gun and wantonly massacre any birds he sees. Sometimes he just wounds them, then lets his cat tear them to pieces. :(
Ok. I kill the bird and ask for 3 wishes, use one of the wishes to bring the bird to life. MetaKnight50...but... if you wished the bird to life...then you will no longer have wishes, for you will need to kill the bird again....to get another 3 wishes....OOOOMG THE ZERO HAS BEEN DEVIDED!! :cry:
