Would you choose your race if you could?

Being a child of two worlds (America/Saudi) has it's benefits and drawbacks.

No, I am perfectly fine being white and of Jewish descent (well I guess that would technically make me middle eastern). However when I get a tan I am pretty dark and people mistake me for arabic, sogo figure...

Race is a social construct btw, it doesn't really exist as there is only one "race" which is the human race. Dividing people into different races is completely man made.

Although I know that isn't what you mean, ethnicity is more along the lines of what your refering to. And I think that people who want to change their race/ethnicity have some self esteem issues going on.

Yea I'm staying black. I prefer how their women age compared to other races, and it'll be easier to get one being black.

And how does being black nesseccarily make it easier to get black women? I'm a white Jewish guy and trust me....I have never had any problems getting black women ;)

You shouldn't think that way man....you should be proud of who you are. There isn't anything wrong with being mixed, I'm guessing the reason why you would want to be full white is because of some sort of social stigma or something....

If I could choose my race all over again, I don't think I would have picked different. I am what I am and pretty proud of it.

I am well aware of different diseases affecting certain people than others (Tay Sachs diseaseamong jews, Diabetes higher among Native Americans ect..)

I was refering to how humans should not be treated differently on the social level. And Blacks and Whites have "some" differences but they aer still humans and are overall the same.

I wouldn't mind being white to be honest. I'm quite happy being Asian but growing up with a British step dad has caused me to be a bit more "Western" than most Asians. So I guess the only reason why I would choose to be white is cause I'm not asian enough for Asia :PKenny789
