Without Wikipedia, I wouldn't know all the random facts that I know about. It's a big part of my research in anything and everything that I want to know about.

Probably about the same. I tend to read a lot of things outside of Wikipedia as it is.

Not in school anymore but from what I'd gather about wikipedia is that it is not a trusted source for reference material. I use it for unimportant fact checking and triva questions but would look for something else if it was for a grade

Wikipedia might give you more knowledge, but it doesn't give you more intelligence.

I do! I don't think you have to be that terribly old to remember the internet pre-google, though. I know! Let's look it up on wikipedia!

I think I might remember too, back when AOL existed and computers made Transformer noises to get online.

Lol, I think we had dial up until my senior year of high school. My sister and I wall-papered two of the walls in my bedroom with those AOL free minutes discs everyone got in the mail constantly.

I use to take them at walmart and places that offered them to play Frisbee.

I don't know why some people don't think that wikipedia is a reliable source. Not many people will go out of their way to post false information. If they do it often they will get banned. Also most people just edit in stupid things and don't even make it sound real.

Since I get most of my knowledge from places outside of Wikipedia,if it dissappeard,I don't think my level of knowledge would change too much.I still wouldn't be too happy though, since it can be very convinient for some quick research on some topics...

I wouldn't say it dictates intelligence. Knowing things =/= intelligence but you can still fool people.

I actually made a point to memorize as little as possible my whole life. If it can be written down, then so be it. I leave the data on the page and leave the real work to my brain.

I would me the same because my teachers are stupid and thing everything on Wikipedia is fake and it can be changed by anyone at anytime and several people tried to explain to them that if you change something Ex.: you change every time the word cat appears on it's wiki to racoon it will automatically change it back,

In terms of my core mathmatical and scienfic knowledge I would be the same, especially as I can't really understand most of Wikipedia's equations, etc. But in terms of my general knowledge it would be a huge drop, I mean I read the newspaper, watch the news and all of that but most of my general knowledge about things comes from Wikipedia.

Wiki has NOTHING to do with one's intelligence :? Intelligence =/= knowledge Intelligence is one's ability to learn Wisdom is acquired knowledge -there are 5 year olds out there with far more intelligence than most anyone here....this does not mean they have more knowledge/wisdom
