Will you continue to use Google services after March 1, 2012?

Guess I was out of the loop but I heard that changes to Google's privacy police take affect today and was wondering if it would affect anyone here.

Personally I don't use any Google services other than their search engine and I wouldn't be affected according to the article, but their attempt to hoard/sell information is off putting to me and I'll just use another search engine from now on.

What are you thoughts on the issue?

Only use Youtube and the search engine, so this has very little effect on me.

I don't have any problems. All the info Google have on me aren't real.

Yes.

I understand the hesitancy this causes, and I agree that it's a little worrisome. But, since I rarely sign in to my google accounts except to check my email, then sign directly out, I don't have a problem. What they are proposing sounds very interesting and could change how we go about of lives. I know people will be all a tizzy about being tracked and spied upon, and rightly so, but they can jump ship.

We are all a little paranoid about certain things. This one doesn't bother me, yet.

I only use the search engine and Chrome, so I don't think it applies that much to me.

I use quite a bit of Google services. TBH, I thought they were already doing that -selling information etc... As long as they're not giving out my credit card number, I don't really care.

I'll be using Opera and Bing for my more......sensitive searches.

The question is will I keep my gmail, and I haven't decided on that one yet.

Yes. Google has all sorts of info on me. Pictures, emails, phone contacts, search history, browser history, documents, etc. But I don't care. I trust them.

I still plan on using Google and Youtube. Not exactly happy about the privacy policy changes, but until a better search engine and video service come along, I'll keep using their services.

Always the search engine, never the email. Plus the maps rule.

Unless you are doing something illegal, it doesnt matter... and if you are doing something illegal, it doesnt matter if you use google either.... using yahoo or bing isnt going to magically make all your online activity invisible to the world.

If you want your internet activity to be anonymous, use a good proxy, or an access point other than your home.... otherwise, everything you do online is easily traced back to you.

Not thrilled about it, but I'll probably still use it. Just gotta know how to word stuff lol

its pretty hard not to use at least some of googles services and thus i cannot discontinue complete use but im not happy with the changes at all. Pretty darn slimey of them. I mean you could start getting spam based on your search results which should be a crime imo. Now i gotta make sure to log out before i do a search and still they will probably get me by ip address or something its just a huge invasion of privacy.
