Why is sony scamming my country and gettign away with it?

its odd to me on this launch date for the console that in america u get charged ~$600 for the console.

While in my country (UK) the console costs ~£450.

yes u say that looks about right or u go WTF i gotta get me one from england but hold on a mo.

Once u convert my cash into dollars it works out the console in england is costing ~$800.

So i just wanna know why the company can enforce a price policy but in reality some countries are getting totally had and this is actually legal?

anybody here have the answers?

I think Sony should be held under public act civil lawsuit.

explain this why are/ and were ps3's selling for $1,200 to $1500 on ebay in america, so $800 doesnt compare to that2ndWonder

It costs money to ship them there... not really fair, but they are a business and they have to make money so they don't go bankrupt... plus don't they have to add compatibility features to them before shipping so they work there...?double_decker

and to add on, the PS3 was supposed to cost $1000, dollars, so that would porbably be around $1500 in your money. so your very lucky they made the decision to lose money on each console sold2ndWonder

well hopefully this will cheer you up or something. my friend paid $1330.87 for his PS3 and it only can with two games and two controllers

I myself paid $837 for my Xbox360 just to get two games and a two year warranty so you shouldnt be feeling bad

I think your friend should have paid 7 dollars more. 

i think we got ripped big time, but im not complaining. the ps3 is $600- he paid $1,300. the xbox i have is $399- i paid $837 

so who should be complaining

I dont think you have any feasable right to complain, as it was your choice to buy it at that stupid price. As here I dont think we have shortages, but when retail prices are in the same range as that, then that is simply an outrage imo. But I still will be buying a PS3.
